Theory: Connection between Kindred, the afterlife and Nagakabouros

I think it's time we took a look at the cycle of life and death in Runeterra considering the recent addition of Kindred and Illaoi.

What we do know:

Kindred: -Primordial entity who manages the passing of spirits from the physical plane to the "afterlife". -Goal is to become the sole existing entity in Runeterra. Lamb has stated they will continue hunting “Until the day there is only Kindred”.

The Afterlife: -It exists, Kayle and Morgana most likely originated from it, possibly Aatrox and Tahm as well since they are classified as Demons. -Separate from the Realm of Celestials which is where Bard and (maybe) Soraka are from. -Life can "end" even in the afterlife.

Nagakabouros: -God of life and motion -Tests individuals -Believes that it is the way you live that matters, not what you do

Personal theory: I feel that Kindred and Nagakabouros are constantly at odds with each other. Kindred is trying to rid the physical plane of all things that are not "it". Meanwhile Nagakabouros is trying to maintain a constant flow (or motion) between the two realms. Physical entities die but their essences are being reincarnated (by Nagakabouros) after their time in the afterlife to then rejoin the physical world. Entities such as Kayle, Morgana, Aatrox and Tahm are powerful souls from the afterlife that have somehow made their way back to the physical plane without reincarnation. The denizens of the Shadow Isles bother Kindred AND Illaoi since they disrupt both of their wills. Kindred doesn't like that they're delaying the hunt and Nagakabouros is annoyed because it's putting a pause on the cycle of life and death.

What do you guys believe? I think this is an area with little to no development which I hope to see grow in the near future.

-Goal is to become the sole existing entity in Runeterra. Lamb has stated they will continue hunting “Until the day there is only Kindred”.

Eh I have issue with that mainly because it's never implied Kindred's goal is to be the last thing existing. It's more like that's the foregone conclusion; when everything's dead, only death itself remains. Then death can't work anymore because there's nothing left to die.

-It exists, Kayle and Morgana most likely originated from it, possibly Aatrox and Tahm as well since they are classified as Demons. -Separate from the Realm of Celestials which is where Bard and (maybe) Soraka are from. -Life can "end" even in the afterlife.

Again things I don't feel so strongly about, considering it's basically confirmed (as far as I remember) that Bard comes from another plane of existence, not the afterlife. Soraka's similar in that she comes from another plane, not from the afterlife. They're more like beings from other dimensions more than beings from the afterlife, at least as far as I see it.

And on that note I doubt Kayle and Morgana are gonna be tied to any kind of afterlife either. It makes more sense from where I;m standing that they originate from another dimension too, and made their way to Runeterra some time ago, potentially being beckoned forth or being sent.

The whole deal between kindred and Nagakabouros to me is that Kindred's an agent of Nagakabouros, and is the entity responsible for dealing with death; souls come by Kindred to return to the flow, and then come back in some new form. Kindred's not really about the afterlife, they're more about being death itself; the moment when life fades and souls pass on. They're essentially just one part of Nagakabouros, like everything else is. Kindred is not an equal being to Nagakabouros, as Kindred can effectively be beaten; it's implied they can be destroyed even if they are omnipresent. Conversely we have Nagakabouros, who is EVERYTHING and ties everything together. It honestly just makes more sense to me personally that provided all the beliefs about Nagakabouros are true, then Kindred is an agent of the great serpent, and exists as part of the ebb and flow of the universe.
