Open letter to the writing team from an old -not-anymore-, disappointed fan
long story short, i've been playing LoL for years and i personally love what's around games, Lore & Art. right after the Retcon happened few years ago, all the chaos on who was what and the lack of new stuff for a while i've got really disappointed on how riot was managing the lore. i've also been here many time, opening complaining threads. i thought they were the umpteenth company that stopped caring for Lore after their game started going up on popularity. my enthusiasm playing LoL was falling. The last year and an half i've been like a distant observer on what was going on. i've explored the Universe website, i've read the comics (camille, nami), i've watched the short animated trailers of lux, darius etc. (cool ways to experiment new styles, as an artist i can relate), the trailers (climbing trailer was totally awesome, rakan-xayah was a bit weird but enjoyable). the recently released champs are trying to tie up long aged questions (kassadin's daughter, vastayans, darkins, targon..) and, in the end, i've read the Narrative on 2018 article. maybe i'm naive and surely there are still flaws to fix, but i can feel how, now, riot is trying to push things well on the narrative side, as they wrote ''making an universe where fans enjoy writing fanfictions on" and i really appreciate that. at the end of this open letter, that maybe they won't even read, i'm thankful and hopeful about the direction that they've chosen.
