Seriously, who designed this?
This doesnt even look like it was supposed to be, it looks like someone messed up the model, but RIOT was like "meh, she aint selling enough skind to justify fixing it, just leave it..."
I mean, it looks like a low budget rework anyway... They ruined every singel skin, not one of them isnt disapointing when compared to the old one...
She's based on fallen angels and demons, in particular succubuses.
Which often have their wings come out of just above or on their waist.
This gives a seductive and impure look.

It looks good, so I am fine with it.
They aren't out of her ass, they are on her lower back to be accurate. It is in a style similar to more of a succubus type character. Kayle's also appear there as well but you don't notice it as much since all of her wings are out unlike Morgana who has two of them chained to her side and drag on the ground.
They are also pretty much realistic as well, being a humanoid character, wings would be on our lower back like that in order to support flight. If they were up higher like most people tend to believe or are shown in various media, it wouldn't be able to lift the body.
