@Riot, Are Summoner's Still Currently Not Part Of The In-Game Lore Again?

Summoners are a huge part of what League of Legends was conceptually designed to be. I still think it's pretty silly that the lore/narrative/foundations team can't be bothered to fix all of the in-game refrences a months/years after summoner's were "apparently" taken out of the in-game lore, seeing as how the idea of summoners was core to the League of Legends lore prior to the retcon.

Jax and Lee Sin have been (or will be) butchered by the retcon removing summoners from the equation. Regardless of how well Riot re-writes their lore, it won't be the same, and those characters will be changed. (hopefully only slightly)

As a player, I like the idea of being a summoner. I like the idea that champion's are separate from me and that I can give them direction and the odd bit of help through summoner spells.

I felt like the concept of summoner's helped this game feel more immersive, and spurred creativity throughout the fanbase.

@Riot, could we please have that back?

i'd be down for this, but i don't think they'll ever come back since we literally have 2 gods and a immortal satanic toad. before when it was just people we controlled or nightmare creatures that were put on a leash it made sense, however now we're getting less people and more higher beings which wouldn't make so much sense plus alotta champs don't seem like they'd be cool with being ordered around Gangplank Kalista Azir just to name a few. plus it's hard to explain how you have death actual death the one that brings death to everyone and Santa's ghost listen to your command to die.
