Speculation about upcoming VGUs...

I was just listening to Swain's voice over and I noticed that his quotes to Irelia probably refer to her new lore, despite Irelia still being worked on and being released in months.

So I realised that there's another champion that implies something yet to be seen, and it's Zoe. A Rioter confirmed that Zoe's key was owned by another champion before, and that champion is supposed to be Fiddlesticks.

Aaaand I just thought... Could Fiddlesticks be one of the upcoming VGUs this year? It's confirmed that Riot August will work on a female champion for a VGU in the future, but what about Fiddlesticks? He's almost forgotten and we've had nothing but the "Zoe leak" in months.

Maybe he'll be part of the VGUs roadmap that's going to be released this week. :thinking:

Nah, Zoe took Fiddle's key from his old splash. That's really it. Fiddle is absolutely a VGU candidate but I would be surprised to see him after Irelia over Nunu, Pantheon, Mordekaiser, etc.

I think the next VGU they announce is Pantheon , most of the Zoe team is on it including CertainlyT.

I sincerely hope it's either Mordekaiser or Nunu. CertainlyT helped make the season 5 Morde update and I think with a champion that strange and that unique, you'd need CertainlyT to design it. He just happened to say when Zoe released he'd do a VGU next.

Unfortunately (and I say unfortunately because I want Nunu and Morde so badly) Riot has ignored them and started updating functional champions. August said he's working on a female, and some leaks I hope are false have suggested two updates announced in the next roadmap. That would have to mean Kayle/Morgana, which is hype as hell don't get me wrong but they aren't even close to how badly the other two need it.
