a lore question

So now that we have been introduced to the Vastaya, nad we have known of the Targonians my question is this: Are they related? Now the reason I ask this is because in the Targonians stories we have read each champ has come across a figure that seems to not be human but is very human like. For example in Leona 's story she meets with a small golden goat child then becomes the aspect. This goat child SEEMS to be what a vastayan is. If this theory is true then my second question is: when the Shurimans would "Ascend" are they basically becoming aspects themselves of the Targonians for that region? Just was wondering these things and was hoping to get some answers. Thanks for the input (if any). [slayer-jinx-catface]

With regard to the Ascended of Shurima and the Aspects of Targon, they are similar rituals where chosen warriors are imbued with celestial energy and hence transfigured, however Shurima specifically used the Sun's power, and as of yet we don't know if one form is superior to the other Aspects > Ascended, or vice versa? There is also a theory that Shurima's Sun Disc may have be influenced/ inspired by a previous Aspect of the Sun, before current times.

Not sure about about the Sun Targonian (going to call him this for clarification) has ties to the Vastaya but something interesting to note: Soraka used to be a celestial, likely when her new lore comes she has ties to Targon, and she too looks like a goat person (however, it has been confirmed that she has no ties to the vastaya) so take that for what you will.

The Targonians are a space-faring empire, the Mt. Targon on Runeterra is just one of their many settlements. Vastayah aren't necessarily aspects, taking weird shapes is sort of a common trait of gods in stories like this, so I would be surprised if they were related.

Ascended Shurimans are not Aspects. They aren't quite "gods", just nigh immortal beings. They still have very human failures and flaws, but in much more powerful bodies. The Aspects, as far as we know, are on a different level entirely. They inhabit the bodies of mortals, and may or may not have their own.

Uhm I think you misread that in Leonas lore, that wasn't a goat child, but a child with bat wings(if anything the aspect looked like a small golden devil)

And Dianas aspect takes on the appearance of an old lady, while Tarics looks like a human made of space,so they don't necessarily have animal forms.
