Variety of VGU champions on schedule

Hi! I am no big fan of Swain, his character just never had that element of coolness I like in champions. Perhaps it will change with the rework like it did for Warwick and Galio. They now have things that I find attractive in them. For the past few years, the major VGUs we had (where they did new voice animation lore) have been Sion->Tristana->Gangplank->Poppy->Taric->Ryze->Yorick->Warwick->Galio-Urgot->Evelynn->Swain. You can notice that there never been more than three good or evil/light or dark character in row, and never from same role back to back, so never two Juggernaut rework followed after eachother, and the area of the champion where ir is from also varied. Closest exception to this is Warwick and Urgot, and now Urgot and Swain. The former has strong Zaun ties, while in latter case Noxian connections.

With the exception of Urgot, and even though its not the intention, he will still be playable as ADC in some setup, situations and builds, we have no ADC on tier one list.

There are main candidates I have seen over the years mentioned for possible update. -Ezreal VGU where only W changed seems to be taking a bomb and be done without VGU, says Meddler. -Corki looks hideous and is rarely seen these days, and more often on mid than bot lane. -Quinn has been wanted by so many players to be given a full VGU, I am rather curious about it myself now. -Kog'Maw has been also a suggested candidate by Rioters -Caitlyn to make her look more Piltover like

And last, but not least Kennen, who is often played as ADC these days, so I mention him here, totally needs new looks at least.

Keep in mind, I do not care about how big changes they would get gameplay wise, I just feel like the current tier 1 candidates need expanded by one or two adcs, who truly deserve some love.

I am no ADC main by any means, but I love playing Urgot on bot and have great joy with him there.

I just want some of the playerbase feel happy, the ADC main part to be exact. The current schedule after Swain, Akali, arguabely Nunu, Kayle, Morgana will all be about top and jungle characters. Not much of a variety. Nunu needed VGU more than Swain, yet was denied for variety reasons and the current list barely has any of that.

I am just trying to say, that a Tristana scale VGU would not harm any of these characters, and would not need that much work as Sion for example.

What do you guys think about this?

As far as a Quinn rework is concerned, she would most likely end up like urgot as a ranged toplaner, not an adc. seeing as that's how she's mostly played top with jg as her second most played role.

Quinn was said to be tier 2 on the VGU, so is that like next year?

If they find a cool direction for any one of these champs it's always possible they'll knock them out before some of the Tier 1 candidates (i.e. Nunu, Morde). Just because they're Tier 1 doesn't mean they're next in line per se, just means they're most in need (but without a solid direction, they have to stay on the waiting list until some good ideas crop up).

I agree that Ezreal seems to be in a spot where he's successful enough as a champion that he'd only need a mini gameplay update alongside visual changes, much like Tristana. Personally I feel he could use some kit changes to orient him more towards an 'explorer / archaeologist' type theme but that's just me. Right now he plays mostly as a mobile artillery person which doesn't feel all that thematic. Maybe his glove could be an in-game item with upgrades like Viktor.

Quinn has always been somewhat of a weird marksman; she's not even classified as one anymore so when her update comes up it's possible they'd go in a more 'ranged assassin' type direction for her rather than ADC. Reav3 also stated her art and theme needs a lot of work so she'd be a complete reimagining like Sion and Yorick, instead of a modernization like WW. Same goes for Corki.

I agree Kog'Maw could probably use some significant changes as well, though I'm not sure whether it'd be an update with very few kit changes like Trist/Ezreal's or maybe a larger one like Urgot's. He's a popular champion who fits the theme of a void artillery pup, seems mostly like his visuals are just out of line. Though there is the problem of his rework having flunked, so it's possible they'll wanna go back and do well on that.

Caitlyn I feel is similar to Ez where she mostly just needs visual changes and perhaps a cool new ability in place of one of her weaker ones. She's already a well-loved champion by the community, she just needs a little nudge to feel more like the sheriff of Piltover.

Anyway yeah I feel a marksman to shake things up a bit in the VGU department would be good, most of the high priority champs are junglers / top laners so a ranged damage dealer thrown in the mix would be nice as well :)

I do feel that katarina could benefit right now from an update roughly of the same scope that MF received recently.
