Love The New Story, But SInce When Were TF And Graves Bilgewater Champions? Am I Missing Something?

They always seemed to have a western motif that doesn't really mesh well with the pirate atmosphere of Bilgewater.

Although the Bilgewater event is really well written and awesome, it seems kinda odd that this story isn't about Miss Fortune and Gangplank, but rather two champions that don't even feel like they are from there.

Wouldn't MF and GP be much better central characters for a Bilgewater Event?

Edit: My bad, I missed that TF and Graves were retconned into Bilgewater lore.

I didn't see any new lore releases for them outside this event.

MF and GP will probably show up more in Act 3. They showed up briefly in Act 2.

... Graves and TF were both born and raised in Bilgewater. TF was enlisted as a Neutral champion because he just doesn't give a f-ck. I believe Graves was either neutral, or neutral/Bilgewater.

Well, technically TF is not from Bilgewater, neither from any other City State...

And Graves was always from Bilgewater

Graves was always a Bilgewater champ. TF was of unknown origin(his beta-lore did talk about him being from the serpentine rivers),but since he was in a team with Graves it is safe to say that he did have a connection to bilgewater.

Overall Bilgewater isn't just a pirate state,it also has a pretty rogue feeling to it.

I think TF had resided in Bilgewater for a long time, at least in his old lore. He was actually from Demacia, though.

This seems to have changed with his update, the origin of his card abilities also seem less forced than his original story. His original story was pretty bad!

News. None of LoL characters are champions anymore.

Right now they're just random people of varying level of importance.

Graves always had ties to Bilgewater. I didn't read his new lore yet, but according to his old lore he was born in Bilgewater and grew up there.

Not sure about TF though.

I don't think Bilgewater is exactly a 'pirate island.' It's more of an outcast/outlaw/runaway land, but only for the people with some true grit. ;) Then, once there, most resort to pirating, because...hey..broke one (big) law, might as well break a couple (hundred) more to make some moneys, and no one in Bilgewater is gonna give a f$%^, as long as you're tough and stick up for yourself/'yer crew.' Both Graves and TF fit well there, because they're both outlaws as a big part of their character, and both tough/sharp witted in their own ways.
