Released in 2013 with shitty graphics, naked effects, no character interaction changes, 4 years later, no update. All the other bloodmoon skins are like 4 times better than this joke of a "bloodmoon" skin, Ripping people off 975 rp for a baby's foot of an upgrade from what you call chromas.
Akali was the original blood moon skin. One that fit the 975 price range at the time.
All other skins came after it.
Akali and Shen's BM skins were lore based. They had one of the few skins that were actually canon.
Akali and Shen performed at a festival where they did the Blood Moon play. Akali was a woman who was running away from her inner demons (Shen). This woman, in order to save herself, donned the mask of the monsters which she tried to hide. In doing so, she scared them away, thus facing her demons.
That's why Shen's mask is fully on, but Akali's mask is off.
This was when they said they weren't adding anymore to it because it was finite and told a specific canon story. Hell, they actually used that reason for why Kennen wasn't suppose to have the skin. Now he does.
