There isn't a whole lot of lore on the Grey Order, aside from they left Noxus cause they be crazy. And there really isn't much mention of what the higher-ups think of a bunch of powerful mages defecting. And I imagine hearing word of a ridiculously powerful 9 year old would grab their interest. What do you guys, think?
For those who want a recap of the Grey Order, here's everything, literally everything, on the Grey Order from Annie's lore, which needs an update:
There have always been those within Noxus who did not agree with the evils perpetrated by the Noxian High Command. The High Command had just put down a coup attempt from the self-proclaimed Crown Prince Raschallion, and a crackdown on any form of dissent against the new government was underway. These political and social outcasts, known as the Gray Order, sought to leave their neighbors in peace as they pursued dark arcane knowledge. The leaders of this outcast society were a married couple: Gregori Hastur, the Gray Warlock, and his wife Amoline, the Shadow Witch. Together they led an exodus of magicians and other intelligentsia from Noxus, resettling their followers beyond the Great Barrier to the northern reaches of the unforgiving Voodoo Lands. Though survival was a challenge at times, the Gray Order's colony managed to thrive in a land where so many others would have failed.
From Taliyah's lore, here are a few interesting facts about Noxus & magic:
In Noxus, magic like hers was celebrated, they told her; revered, even. They promised her a teacher Taliyah was paraded through the tiers of Noxian magical society. Many took an interest in her power, its potential,....
So it's clear magic has a strong prevalence in Noxian society. Annie's talents for magic & her potential would be valuable to many there.
I think they might remove the Grey Order and have Annie's parents to be a part of a faction of Noxus that doesn't like Swain.
I think that could be an interesting sort of arch. They would have to make another Grey Order champion though and we've just had many mages. But in the future it would be awesome to see. Alternatively, they could make another Noxus champ with that was their goal. That would also have to be in the future as Kled is a Noxus champ whose goal isn't to get Annie.
Thats a very interesting question... If they went after Taliyah i wouldnt doubt Annie would also peak thier interest
But the thing is, Annie wouldn't accept it. And before Noxus tries to take Annie, she might go full Zac and kill anyone who tries to capture her. Swain would need to mesmerize or find another way to bring Annie to Noxus.
