Taliyah has a lot of personality. She has aspects of youth, growth, adventure, a sense of trying to better oneself. Likely just not one you find as pleasing or well presented as others (throw another rock quote is definitely the new "boom, headshot"...)

Yeah, this is my big issue with Kled, and pretty much exactly how I'd describe it. There's some really funny lines in there, but a lot of it is just "SCREAMING SCREAMING AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH".

Honestly it seems like a lot of his best lines are the deadpan, quieter ones. Which is something I think was true of Borderlands and such too.

More on topic, I'd say Taliyah does have a personality, I just don't think it's a very impactful one. In a world full of Southern Gentleman Fish Demons, Extradimensional Floating Eyeball Scientists, and Rock Toting Battle Priestesses, Taliyah is...uh...she's a teenager who loves her family and can use rock magic. I think she was more interesting in Bloodline, though.

I think the more nuanced humor stands out better in the bouts of screaming, making it easier to appreciate. He's suppose go be literally psychotic and energetic...wouldn't it seem a bit flat and out of character if every quote was just calm and kinda witty?

I die a little inside when people tell me new Gangplank's a cool personality. He's got contradictions in his voiceovers, looks like some weedly loser pirate who got marooned... where's the moustache? YO HO HO AND A BOTTLE OF.... RRRRRUM! His old personality was token and knockoff, but it was humorous and easy to listen to. Having Newplank hit me with all this quotes that could have been pulled right off of a deviantArt run by an emo teenager? "Hate is a child's word." And yet you god damn use it you senile old poncebucket! Go soak your head! Go back to the depths. Let them claim you! We don't want you! Go roll some barrels or something!

At least they gave me Captain for free. When do I get a Traditional Gangplank with his old lines, just in case I didn't want to play Captain god damn Barbossa?

Riot's hit-or-miss with personality nowadays, it's kind of tough to tell whether they got it or they don't. Kled's not their worst, but he does feel a bit Gearbox now that I see it mentioned...

Braum was a pretty big winner, though, I really liked that. A bit sad that new Taric doesn't mention this brotherhood of man... for whatever that means.

I think I mentioned a while ago that like, all his lines are "I'll DO (bad thing) TO YOUR (body part)." I like his older design (Although original GP will always be closest to my heart), his story's great, but his lines kinda fall flat for me. It's a shame, because the VA is Matt Mercer, who is an incredible voice actor who can do a huge range of emotions, and they just give him "growly". Braum is also fantastic. I was a big fan of Tahm Kench too, a lot of his taunts and jokes are just really sassy and it's great.

I wouldn't even say Kled's badly written, he's just not my style of humor, and that's fine, they can't all be.

New GP's biggest weakness is that there's no depth. "The Dread Pirate" is literally 100% of the character. He's a pirate, and he's pretty dreadful; he's got a title so he's a 'The.' He plays well and all (IDGAF about barrels though, pls give me some grog??????) but listening to his quotes is painful.

I need that Traditional Gangplank. It was a humongous overhaul in his design and I want the old lines back. ;_;

I'm still disappointed with Aurelion Sol's skillset. That much potential is wasted in really bad way. Look at his popularity even while he is strong. He is definition of boring in the last champions.

I mean, I love this champion. I still wanna main him, but totally not because of his gameplay.

I love Aurelion Sol kit. It reflects exactly his lore, and his quotes are also amazing. He has a interesting personality. The only problem I have is the change to homeguards. It is now nearly impossible to make a big star pre-15, which is boring.

Kled has 1.5 abilities not counting his R.

Aurelion Sol has 2.5 abilities not counting his R.

Every other champion has 3 abilities not counting their R.

Kled gameplay is abysmal. A champion with 1 ability when unmounted and 2 when mounted? Really? I might as well be playing Lemmings.

I left those out on purpose, but It's much worse than Vayne, Gnar and Twisted Fate W, those passives are always up and at least always trigger, so you can always count on them in a fight. Kled W has a huge bloody cooldown that you have no control over. It's a shitty version of Irelia W or Master Yi E, a spell that enhances your AA for a few seconds, except unlike them, you can't decide when you use it and it triggers whenever the fck it wants.

It's an absolutely dreadful design choice imo. It feels terrible to have, it dumbs down your gameplay for no reason and adds nothing interesting to the game. At least Gnar has some form of control over his R.

Imagine if all abilities were like that, a bunch of passives that trigger randomly and you could only AA people. Even games like Runescape or Maple Story are more engaging.

And don't get me started on his E. It's like having Nidalee, but you remove her W, and you remove half her E. Wtf? Unfinished product much? Isn't that the designer job to create a full champion? Where is the other half?

if it didnt come off of cooldown randomly, and you could trigger it, it would probably be a aa reset, making kled stronger, buffing his early game, which imo is strong enough. even if it wasnt a aa reset.

the fact that kleds W comes off of cooldown immediatly after the first auto (check to make sure this is right) makes it always on for 4 seconds is enough time, and it gives like 3 or 5 seconds late game after it goes on cooldown with item 3071 with something else maybe item 3158 or item 3812 his W was original, helps make him stand out, which also imo is important

I was honestly super excited about her when she was introduced, but once I started listening to her actual lines, that just killed it for me, that line in particular. It may not even be a lack of personality, the short stories do give her a a much more fleshed out personality, but her lines in game are terribly bad,
