@Riot. What's a Summoner?

UomoAfide5 votesWhat is a summoner, if not a miserable pile of ret-conned lore? http://www.talesofvaloran.com/comics/2014-09-20-talesofvaloran44.png
Ebonmaw Dragon1 votesIts a fancy name for "LoL player"
Embertine1 votesWhys is this being asked? The summoners were taken out of league already. They aren't part of the lore anymore so they have nothing to do with LOL anymore.
Sharjo2 votesEr...actually they haven't apparently, we just have yet to be told how they fit in the new canon. It's obviously way different considering there's no institute so I've got nothing more than that. Just know they do exist...somehow.
Embertine1 votesRiot stated summoners are going to still be in the lore somewhere? I would like to know because it would be interesting to see where they end up. Maybe they could make a summoner as a champion?
sp4411 votesI'm not entirely sure. Your knowledge of the land shall be great.
