Sona and many other champions need a VU

needs a VGU but more than anything she needs a VU desperately. Sadly Riot said that they stopped doing VUs because " they really weren't noticed much or appreciated"(and honestly I don't know wtf you meant by that, Reav3. I LOVED , and and I'm 100% sure more people did and still do), so good luck waiting for 2050 when Riot gets to rework Sona. And if you are a Sona main and you don't like DJ Sona then rest in piece and have fun playing Sona with shitty skins, aesthetics, looks, quotes (tbh her quotes aren't even that bad but she keeps repeating the same stuff), lore, everything. I love her theme but I can't enjoy , and don't tell me I need to appreciate her kit in order to enjoy her because that's not true. Ever since I started playing lol I always ignored Lux but after her ultimate skin she became one of my mastery 7.

I'm not going to specify why Sona needs a GU because this is not the place, I'll just say that Bard and Rakan are better musicians than Sona.

Sona is fine visually (expect Pentakill, god that skin is awful), lore wise and VO wise are the worst offenders for her

Sona got a MTU (model & texture update). MF, Kassadin, Alistar and Maokai all got a MTU and I think Riot stopped there. Well ok... when summoner's rift was updated, they updated many champion textures but didn't really change the models.

GP got a VGU, not a MTU. Karthus got a VU which totally changed his visual appearance as well as gave him a new voice but didn't include any gameplay changes. Other VUs were Nasus, Garen, Twitch and Heimerdinger. I'm sure I'm missing some champs.

I think Sona is in a good spot visually although she could use a gameplay update. I do wish Riot would make use of her theme better.

These champions need a VU or a MTU: Ahri Blitzcrank Caitlyn Ezreal Jax KogMaw Leblanc Lulu Lux Rammus Riven Talon Veigar Zilean (didn't include champions that could require a VGU... Although Rammus, Veigar and Zilean could use a VGU)

Sejuani Twitch Maokai (This one came first because his tank update) Garen Sivir Nasus Trundle

All VUs that greatly improved upon the champion. The sheer fact Riot thinks people don't care about them because of MissFortune Alistar were underappreciated is completely idiotic. They honestly believe they shouldn't do them because people don't appreciate them enough when those champions have all completely benefited from their update.

Otherwise we would still have Sejunai as a bikini warrior in the north; Twitch the rat potato; Sivir the stiff plank of wood; The ugly troll that look like it should be taken out back and shot; etc, etc.

VUs can be just as good for league as VGUs. Veigar Caitlyn LeeSin Lulu Sona MissFortune and I am sure more could all use a proper karthus level of VU when their gameplay is frankly just fine as is. It really ticks me off Riot just doesn't think people would care about these.

I think Sona needs a lot of modernizing because her gameplay is pretty binary (considering how interesting her theme is and how Riot could play around with the concept of making music) and her visuals are a bit outdated.

Not sure if this lightens the load at all, but Riot had plans to update some of her splash arts, I'm just not sure what happened with this.

It's not that people didn't like them, it's that people were expecting gameplay updates as well.

im waiting for that glorius day when sona get her vgu and arcade sona finally have a recall animation (with her dancing on a dance game with awesome music) in all honestly i love that skin

See, that's something they could do with their 5th team that Riot got recently. could split that team up into a GU team and a VU team. One handles champs that only really need a new model (maybe a lore update) and the other one handles champs that only really need a to get their kit updated. That way by the time Riot gets through their list champs who desperately need a VGU, they don't have to start another list of champs that desperately need a VGU cause they feel under even more disrepair between now and the time they could get updated. http://i2.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/782/935/ce2.png

yep definitely need VGU update , also i always think her kit could use some work to be less of a point and click. i know its too much work but sona and many other champions are getting dust now with no visual , voice or lore update or their kits . as much as its nice to have new champions i rather see improvements on the ones i got accustomed to and love ( i just love sona too much) than getting newer ones.

most new champions seem to be adding some sort of imbalance to the gameplay until they are adjusted properly anyway.

I totally agree.

I have DJ Sona (thank god) and her model sucks so much normally that it kinda ruins the potential of all her other skins.
