Please, give us a clear description.
I think we deserve that much.

a disturbing factor? an inconvinience for the lore-dpartement? sth. around that line, but as it is We Summoners do not longer exist...there´s only Players left - Playing a Game void of a lore.
Well, if you put Summoners in a League of Legends Cannon, they will be bits and pieces...on the opposite side of Valoran. If you're asking about Summoners in the League of Legends canon, then the answer is that they simply never existed.
Riot was unhappy with the idea of all-powerful beings taking control of the actions of iconic national heroes in wargames where death is a minor inconvenience. The wargames were a proxy which helped to protect the world from devastation of all-out war as in the previous Rune Wars.
As such, Riot has removed all reference to the Summoners, the Institute of War, and the League of Legends itself from the canon. Fret ye not, however. This changing of canon only seems to affect character backstories and the overarching story of Runeterra. The game you play will not be changed in any meaningful way. You will still play on Summoner's Rift, Sona can still only speak to you, Summoner, and Riot will still start their announcements with "Greetings Summoners!"
Putting them in a cannon is still an option for you, though.
