One funny thing about Lissandra's story

She's blind, Serylda's mute and Avarosa's deaf

And at one point this happens:

>However, Lissandra’s sisters grew displeased. Avarosa argued that the only thing worse than death was servitude. Even Serylda bristled against what would become of the world they had fought so hard for. Caught in the middle, Lissandra tried to soothe her sisters’ concerns while appealing to the Watchers for more time, but the unknowable nothingness cared not for such platitudes.

I can just imagine Avarosa staring at Serylda signing then repeating everything for Lissandra to hear throughout the entire argument

Serylda says to Avarosa: Watch out, Lissandra's staring at us!

Serylda has to sign to Avarosa to say to Lissandra, and Lissandra has to tell Serylda to sign to Avarosa (unless Lissandra knows sign language or Avarosa can read lips). It is an interesting set of circumstances in which to be having a conversation for sure.

But the thing is, Lissandra cant receive any information from EITHER of them since they both cant talk. Avarosa could TRY based on memory of words but itd be heavily distorted

"Into this dangerous and volatile age, Lissandra and her sisters, Serylda and Avarosa, were born. Each sought to harness the powers at war, and each paid a terrible price. Attempting to command the heavens above them,** Serylda lost her voice** to the first twilight. Avarosa faced the twisting dark beneath the world, and was deafened by its emptiness, waiting to consume all creation."

The idea that the three of them can communicate at ALL baffles me. I can't take the idea of the three sisters arguing seriously because of that lmao.

Real talk though; maybe Lissandra talks to them through their dreams in a sense? Like telepathy? It's mentioned that she prefers to communicate through dreams, so maybe?

''With her sight taken, Lissandra chose instead to walk in dreams. As she navigated the fitful visions of those around her'' also deef people are able to speakif they ahve learned to do so before their loss off hearing!
