Riot apologise for overly sexualising League of Legends' latest champion

Am I missing something? Are character not allowed to be sexy anymore? Why is making a WOMAN IN A BODYSUIT with pronounced ass and breasts (which aren't even that big) a fucking crime all of a sudden? Why are people apologizing for making the whatever the artist WANTED the character to be?

I'm so tired of this.

You are two weeks late to the party and I really don't wanna see anything about that drama ever again. But this video says it all.

TL;DW: Kai'sa's cleavage isn't the problem, the problem is her design fundamentally doesn't match the character concept Riot says she's supposed to embody. Giving her a design that matches her living conditions and emphasizing the suit as a tool rather than an intimately connected corruptive force would help solve the design problem of showing sufficient human control a lot better than "let's just show skin."

but it doesn't just show "Skin" it's a second skin. If kai'sa was a dude it wouldn't be a problem. Stop making excuses for it. It can't just be a cool-girl in a bodysuit anymore? Because if you note what the say it's for "Over-sexualization " not for missing the theme

Yes, you are missing something, quite a lot actually. Riot missed quite a bit with their apology too.

All of you should try to actually read the criticism before inventing a strawman of what you think the criticism could be.

You are indeed a bit late to the party. When Kai'sa was released and when Riot admitted that they made a mistake with the cleavage, the boards were full with threads about this....

Anyway, most people don't have anything against sexualization(of coruse they do exist, but they aren't the majority),what many people are complaining about is the fact that the sexualization of Kai'sa goes against the character.

Her lore says she is an outsider feared by other humans, yet she looks attractive. Her suit is supposed to be a living organism, yet the cleavage makes it look artificial.

So its not about sexyness being bad in general, but sexyness being unfitting for the character that riot wanted to develop.
