Does Ekko go to School?

Like canonically, does he attend a high school in Zaun? I know he has an Academy skin but I doubt Ahri has a formal education so I don't think that says much.

I know Piltover must have excellent standards, and while Zaun may not be as all high quality, i am sure they are less... restrictive on what can be taught.

Maybe, but certainly not in the slums where Ekko lives.

That's actually an interesting train of thought; what parts of Runeterra have public education in some form? I'd assume places like Zaun and Noxus don't and even among the eschelons of high society there education would likely be private, done with tutors and the like.

I'd imagine Demacia probably does but the ciriculum's probably quite strict in what it teaches, and probably focuses on things pertinent to Demacia more so than anything else, kinda like a country having history lessons but only teaching the history of its own country. It might not go that extreme for Demacia and things probably get a bit lax the further away from the capital you get but again high society likely runs on private education in Demacia.

If Freljord and Demacia have public schools I'll laugh. Contrary if Piltover has anything less than a great divide in the schools between ones made for the everychild and ones made for the rich tossers in private schools I'll be shocked. I mean we already know Piltover has universities so it stands to reason their education systems are likely the most similar to real world ones as we'll ever get.

Then there's Ionia and the Blue Flame Isles and here I scratch my head and wonder whether they'd have it or not. I mean Bilgewater specifically probably wouldn't but would the individual islands? Did Illaoi grow up and go to a Buhric school? I dunno. Ionia I have no sodding idea about. I suppose it depends on where you live and whether you undergo specific teachings, like becoming a Samurai, or a monk, or whatever you are.

And finally there's the Yordle Lands (horribly named), which I'd assume do communal stuff so they'd have big public schools, but that's just me guessing. We know sod all about yordles in the new Runeterra aside from they're descended from Cave-Yordles who in turn are descended from hulking brutish jungle monsters.

Demacia definitely feels like a tutor based education system. Noxus...I think Noxus is more military school. Yordles (since almost every one of them has to do with something scientific/mechanical) probably do have a public education system.

So the gerbil people are more modern than everyone else.

Well they probably also don't have to deal with wars on their doorstep, void monsters, horrible living conditions, and a myriad of other problems.

But yeah, gerbil people are the most realistic society in all of Runeterra.

I heard a Rioter say once that Ekko should be attending school but skips it to hang out with his street friends. His parents don't know because they work all day in Zaun's massive factories.

I think it isn't out of question. I mean it was confirmed that he has parents,so its not out of question for said parents to be able to let him go to school.

In the Q&A it was stated that they work all day in Zaun's factories and haven't realized he skips school.

I think it's safe to say that an educational system exists in Zaun. I mean Mundo must have gotten his Ph.D somewhere. The school buildings themselves are probably located in the city's center or in more developed areas. It would make sense for Ekko to be attending School since I don't think the Slums would have provided him with a proper way to learn about topics such as Math and Science (which is probably very important when trying to build a Time Machine).

Ekko's parents are probably focusing on providing for his education so he'll be able to one day live in better conditions.

Wow.Zaun is a shitty place yes it does have schools and Ekko probably attends it.The only problem with Zaun is the illegal scientific experiments and the polution.
