@Riot, Your New Lore Direction Feels Really Dumbed Down
The recent lore just seems to lack the complexity that lore used to have.
There no longer seems to be much/any political intrigue between factions and champion backstories just keep getting simpler and simpler. Some of them don't even seem to be back stories, but rather just a quick glimpse of who a champion is, with little to no detail.
Here's Amumu's current lore taken from the League of Legends Website:
"Amumu is a diminutive, animated cadaver who wanders the world, trying to discover his true identity. He rose from an ancient Shuriman tomb bound in corpse wrappings with no knowledge of his past, consumed with an uncontrollable sadness."
I understand that there is a mysterious tech-issue that is taking many months to solve, but why isn't the longer lore being left on the website and client until it is resolved?
Why leave us with the abridged lore when you can leave us with the complete lore?
It just makes it harder for players who want to learn about these champions.
And really, if a player is going to take the time to click on the lore option for a champion, they're probably interested in them enough to read the whole thing.
