@Riot, Can We Talk About The Lore Retcon? Or is it still "too soon"?

When Riot retconned Runeterra's lore, they stayed away from talking about specifics.

Prominent characters within Runeterra had their lore erased in a heartbeat without anything to replace it. - R.I.P. Jax.

@Riot, I'm tired and ashamed to say that I'm tired of fighting with you on your lore direction for Runeterra in which summoner's don't exist.

I thought the concept of summoners was awesome, which helped get me interested in this game.

Although it's a shame that you've removed a core part of Runeterra in order to make the lore easier to write, there's no excuse for making the retcon take so long.

The lore for League of Legends should make sense! If you want to retcon it, retcon it! Don't just retcon parts of it and leave the rest for later!

The retcon should have happened all at once.

Too soon?

2012 was the last time the IoW was mention in lore or the League (from Jayce onwards there was no mention of them).

In early 2014 (i think) Riot officially announces the dreaded lore retcon, but every one knew long before.

Nearing 2016, we are all still waiting for this retcon.

(And yes Shurmia, Freljord and Blidgewater got some definition but it in no way fills the gap of the IoW being removed)

Too soon? Riot just wants to ignore the retcon, ignore that anything is wrong with the lore.

What Riot wants is a clean slate to work from, not some kind of "old lore" to adhere to. They have and old lore, so they're taking things they like from it, but anything they dislike will simply be ignored and overwritten.
