Old splash arts vs New skin release rate
Dear Riot skin artists and champion update team artists,
Recently we've seen the release of multiple really awesome skins, including the entire Guardians of the Sands line, Omega Squad Teemo, Debonair Galio, Archlight Vayne, Headhunter Akali, Secret agent Xin Zaho, etc...
I want to talk about them in relation to the splash arts;
You are now releasing a patch every 2 weeks, which is quite awesome, but at the same time I think is causing you to forget a major problem in the game - updated champion's splash arts. Look at Annie, look at Nidalee, look at Maokai, look at Maestro Yi, look at Karthus.... These are just a few that have been updated and their SKIN splash arts are still old and unfitting.
Now that you have been pushing patches out so fast, you are holding to a high standard of releasing multiple skins per patch, you alocate your splash artists on doing splash arts for the new skins, instead of the old ones - ever.
I would suggest a simple solution - release less skins per patch, allocate an artist or two to old splash arts. This will finally give us updated splash arts for the VU'ed champions, and also will let you sit on skins ideas longer, maybe helping you improving them even more (don't get me wrong, they are awesome).
Thoughts?
