Is Riot really giving out an old, unused, and uninteresting icon for 100 games of Twisted Treeline?

So as everyone knows, Twisted Treeline is getting removed and if you played 100 games you get a super special second icon. However, this icon is visually boring unlike the Dominion one and I suspect that it might just be an unused icon Riot made 6 years ago and is reusing now. Why do I think this? Because the icon is visually similar to an icon that was given out for a harrowing event during the rework of the map. Here is the new icon: https://i.gyazo.com/e889b24eec6f118f593ec498fce26134.png And here is the old icon from 2013 event: https://i.gyazo.com/8e74bfdb1e6ab2de3c3266307e85b46e.png I'm honestly wondering if this icon was just unused during the Twisted Treeline rework event and Riot decided to throw it out now despite it not meeting modern standards. At least make the spooky tree icon be the 100 game icon as it is a little more visually distinct and appealing.

Anyways, not much more to say. Just wanted to point out that even with the removal of the mode when Riot is forced to acknowledge the existence of the map they still couldn't put the effort in to make anything Twisted Treeline related worthwhile. Hopefully the ARAM icon in a couple years is pretty cool.

iirc that icon (2013) is supposed to be the Ruined King's wife (or at least whoever is trapped in the west altar)

and her husband (whether she's the queen or some random woman) is in the right.

Yeah that one is kind of meh. Though now we will have both Alter spirits... I guess that's something.

At least they went back and updated the Tree icon to have more color, since when it was first on the PBE they had a pretty dull look for it.

It’s probably lore based. He’s the other spirit who speaks to you at the altars. I believe the lady is the other one.

Both icons are just revamps/reuses of old icons. The tree is of 2012's Harrowing for spending 5k RP, and the Male Altar icon is the set for 2013's Harrowing for buying a Harrowing skin.

Why you guys crying? it's just an icon... btw with the old look i think it is more iconic for a player who have played this map for a long time. at least for me.

Ummm considering the lore importance of the Twisted Treeline, this is actually a really good icon. This is our first physical look at the Ruined King, which is a pretty big lore bomb. I understand you might not like it, but this icon has a significant meaning.

They did only give a single icon for the deletion of The Crystal Scar (Dominion for those not in the know), so yey, they improved the rewards by 300 %.

Of course that entails a working client where we can actually show off these fabulous new icons, but hey can't expect too much, right.

Both icons are decent at least if not better, they wont make it stylized so that you and 33 ppl will like how it looks. It is symbolic, it expresses twisteed treeline just fine, and you brag about how "I dooont like it, its similar to the female version from 2013, ew, I'd preffer if it was something I want even tho thats not the poin". THIS ICON IS SYMBOLIC, limited, supposed to remind us how we played the game mode and we enjoyed it, it's not just about you and 33 ppl who eould prefer it to be something that ONLY THEY would like. Appreciate what they given us and quit bragging, the icon does its job.
