But Rakan's ultimate almost looks like a better version of Sion's.

Welp, I'm now confused. I thought it was a single champion with two characters, but that gameplay doesn't seem to support that.

Im pretty sure the leak said it was just two champions who synergize really well, but can be played seperately. Riot said they wouldn't do anything like Cho'Gall from HOTS.

A rioter just confirmed it on reddit. They just synergize well together, like Twitch and Janna or Lucian and Braum. They don't have specific gameplay interactions with one another.

they actually work even better than those example due rakan getting her buff if around, while also being able to jump and shield her from a much larger distance, i predict it will be worthy to ban one in competitive play and it will force pro players to pick both at the same time

the sync recall is more tricky than ppl think, it can allow one escape some situations if the other is charging the recall already, kinda like a thresh lantern

Imho, it's more useful the enchanced recall than the slight bonus they get when you have both. Rakan as support won't use well the AS/Atk bonus from Xayah's W. Rakan's W bonus range is more useful, but... Usually the support knows when to stay around, so...

They have specific interactions...some of their abilities literally get strong just because the other champ is present.

I have a feeling that it's not going to be all that bad because someone will come up with a counter lane that makes their synergy completely irrelevant to just getting stomped. That or they will get nerf for over synergy.

Either way, I am interested in how this will play out, aren't cha?

His E has a longer range on Xayah, they can recall together. Xayah shares her W with him...

A champion like Cho'gal wouldn't work in League. The biggest differences being exp, gold and items. Two of which Hots doesn't have and exp in Hots is team-wide.

But wouldnt a LoL chogall always share xp/level/etc ? They would only have independent gold.

You would either have a larger than normal exp lead or deficit. Would it be six items each or six items total? With shared gold, would you give them twice the ambient gold generation, but then you get key items so much earlier.

I guess there's that. HotS plays on a lot of different maps, and has objectives pop up to bring teams together to fight over objectives. There's not really a true laning phase.

I imagine you could treat LoL cho'gall as a single character. And one player would do movement, and the other abilities. Or one movement and QW and the other ER and the ability to buy items. And they would farm and gain gold as a normal champ/hero.

The thing is that functionally makes your team 1 body short. So to make up for it, LoL Cho'gall's abilities/stats would have to be strong to make a team think it was worth losing that 1 body to gain some kind of advantage.

All that said.....what about a Lost Vikings/Meepo style hero?

Probably you will have to pick him, but only if your duo agrees, and you basically play a champion split in 2 others..
