Aurelion Sol's voiceover is a huge dissapointment...

I didn't expect Sol to be such a douchebag... He is a real asshole! Arrogant to the bone.

I expected a Dragon of his caliber to be far more wise and powerfull, inspiring admiration and respect, with all the long ages of his life he should be more "down to earth", knowing how things come and go. His voice should inspire power and wisdom, you should admire him when you hear what he has to say.

He is a fucking asshole that only wants to display how powerful he is, full of arrogance...

Riot, i expected much better. I am really dissapointed.

Smaug

You know after his teaser, where he talks about how adorable it is when others beg for mercy it was kinda clear that he would be quite the asshole(his Aram-VO also supported this).

Also its not uncommon to depict dragons as arrogant and evil, just think of Smaug from the hobbit.

"riot, i hate this dragon trope, i wanted the OTHER dragon trope"

Stop acting like one is objectively better than the other. Both are boring. At least Riot chose the one that is slightly less cliche.

I guess i can't expect you to have listened to the new aram voice-over

but, i mean, shit, did you watch the teaser at least?

Why wouldn't he be an asshole? Did you actually read his intro lore or listen to his lines? He was a cosmic, galaxy-creating dragon that the Targonians enslaved.

Oh course he doesn't care for mortals.

I love it. I feel like it's a realistic personality for someone who has the power to create and destroy stars.

Ironically, it makes him much more relatable.

agreed, i play ARAM a lot and he is quite annoying

Aurelion is, like almost any powerful dragon in fantasy, a massively sarcastic asshole. But if you had that kind of power you probably would be too - Who's gonna do anything about it? Those people? Don't make him laugh.

I personally like him. He's like Draven or Dunkmaster Darius - Sure he's a colossal dick, but he's funny about being a colossal dick. He never even pretends to be likable, he just chills around spitting snark and sarcasm at anything that comes his way. The only person he shows any blunt, direct meanness to is Shyvana (which, if you've read Shyv's lore, is no surprise). Everyone else is just there to entertain him.

Read his short lore, I don't blame him for being an asshole.

Makes sense a little bit that Targon might have had the capabilities to enslave Sol. Leona is the embodiment of the sun, after all.
