@Riot When will Udyr ever get an in-game VU?

I don't know why this is getting downvoted; it honestly feels true. Udyr has one of the most disgustingly outdated models in the game. The fact that GP got two whole visual reworks before he even got one is staggering. I hope this is not going unnoticed at Riot.

Not unoticed, ignored. Did you not hear what Kyoki said? SGU is his VU. It's just behind a paywall. Riot's never going to touch Udyr in any way, shape, or form. He's doomed.

Champs like Renekton, Fizz and Nautilus are fine IMO. Newer champs that got a texture rebalance (or a MTU in Rene's case) don't need a new model I believe, but animations and VFX updates for some of these would be some really nice tweaks.

all the champions before Lulu are getting visual updates (including lulu) these here are the champions that still didnt got one so they are all on the list for VU's remember Fiora and Gangplank they didnt really need one but they got one because they were made before Lulu and were still using the old system. Texture rebalance is a temporary update before the big one. There are total 69 champions who will get VUs including Fizz

So IronStylus was streaming some Riven fanart last Sunday, so I got to ask him a few questions and one of them was about Udyr, "What do you think about his visual state?", and I basically summed up his answer: "Udyr does look pretty bad (even though the texture rebalance helped him as a bandaid)- Could use love and consistency. His visuals need to represent where is he from and where was he in the past (he is needed to be figured out thematically).".

I'd assume that he's not being worked on for now since IronStylus also said that currently all the VUs they are working on are bundled with a gameplay update (They're basically doing it because they see gameplay updates as opportunities to work on champs, visually, that they may never have the time, resources and chances to work on ever again or at least any time soon).
