Thank you for destroying the image of Lux I once had in lieu of what you've made her now. I used to look up to her. She was always upbeat, outgoing, positive. She was honestly an inspiration for me, because she's the exact opposite of me. She's what I would aspire to become. Or used to at least. So thank you for shattering that image. I guess the one thing in my life that I currently enjoy doing couldn't last forever. Playing her now, I feel sick in the pit of my stomach, because she apparently isn't what I thought she was, and I feel like I lost a friend. So thanks for ruining the only thing I enjoyed.

anyway, the lore lead already said that sg lux and 'normal' lux are not the same, AU versions of characters are bound to be different (Pentakill Sona for example, doesn't seem to care one bit about the destruction the band causes)

you should chill a bit and not make your happiness dependent on a 2d person.

People can't accept that SG Lux is not Lux. They are different people entirely.

Yea but nay.

Old Lux, outside of her Summoner's Judgment where she had a bout of sadness about her upbringing, was an unquenchable source of happiness and light and fun things.

New Lux, SG AND original, gives off the image of a chick who can barely keep her issues to herself, let alone be the shining beacon of light/happiness/fun things old Lux was portrayed to be. It's not that Lux is poorly written, she's not. I love her new story. Peeps do seem to think she could use to be less of a worrywart insecure klutz and more of the awesome and unflappable DEMACIAAAAAAAA!!! lady she 'used to be'.

Yeah I edited it once I reread the OP.

I think they could fix that with a story further into her arc.

This one and her lore with Galio were in the same place for her story arc (different universe but w/e) so it makes it seem like Lux is always like that.

Stone and Flesh was basically the one piece of lore that made me absolutely love Lux. Before, i liked her design, style, and enjoyed her personality from the other pieces of lore.

Side note, I like Galio a lot more than I did before reading that lore too, and I like how they have a special bond, even if it doesn't really have any custom interactions in-game.

In the context of OP.

In the new Star Guardian lore we've been given (http://universe.leagueoflegends.com/en_US/story/star-guardian-starfall/)

Lux is repeatedly seen as being uncertain, shy, reserved, and scared, feeling like she's not right to lead them and going as far as to ask Ahri to become the leader of the Star Guardians.

In base lore, Lux is a very calm, confident, upbeat and peppy person, who is kind and caring and willing to do what it takes to protect the people she loves.

However, we do still see some of this in the SG lore [Spoiler]

She repeatedly shows caring towards the other 5 members, as well as making decisions for the team as a whole, "Even if it would upset them". When Lulu was attacked, she didn't hesitate in the slightest to take that hit for her, even though it hurt her quite badly (bedridden for hours and with horrible migraines upon awakening). If Lux was truly as uncertain and scared as some parts of the lore make her seem, she would've never been able to sacrifice herself for Lulu, but she didn't even question it when the time actually came.

Some people are upset that it ships SGLux+SGEz. I don't really know what wrong with it.

OP is upset that Lux is so uncertain in this Lore piece.

Uh no, I couldnt care less about her and ezreals relationship. I dont care if shes straight or gay or whatnot. It isn't about her sexual preference, it's about how she is now mentally and emotionally. And as an aside, her hobby is sleeping and eating? what a fucking joke

I mentioned in another comment that the Lux in this story was the same stage of Lux as in the Galio story, which is why overall Lux seems so hesitant (I'm guessing she eventually grows out of it but they never show us that idk why).

I mean it's a Magical Girls trope. That's what all the profiles are for. It only relates to Lux in the SG Universe, not in the established universe.

It's still Lux related, it's still depressing to me. The established universe you speak of isn't much better since the lore change.

That's not canon.

Heck, Jinx is SANE in the Star Guardian line (arguably, anyway). Poppy is a battle-hardened warrior, zealous and dutiful. Janna has gone from compassionate guardian spirit to detached, wise mentor figure, Ahri just walked off the set of Mean Girls, MF is a mother figure to playboy Ezreal, nobody's acting like themselves.

Skin lines are going to provide different interpretations of a character. Lux there is a teenager, immature and unsure of her place in the world.

Lux in canon is a mage living in a society that hates magic. Her brother sees it as a pure evil, corrupting influence. She's bubbly and upbeat, an attitude she used for a long time to hide how unsure and insecure she is in the face of open hatred for people like her. Since Galio encouraged her to not be afraid, it became more genuine.

Why is it wrong for them to have a skin of what she was before she got her confidence? Her lore with Galio was SUPER similar in the vibe it gave. Was that story disliked too?
