There could be comic book series, or novel series, or anything of the luck due to how awesome the League universe is!

Books would be amazing, but I think comics would be the best option.
I'm not sure if they're still being put out, but I remember a few years ago World of Warcraft had a few mini-series that gave a bit of backstory to the world. I read two of them, one about the founding of the Argent Crusade and one about the origin of the Gilnean Worgen curse. They had good art, decent writing, and told a lot about the behind-the-scenes of the world. To those that read them, they were a great source of information and entertainment, and they also did a lot of world-building. I don't play WoW anymore, but I'm pretty sure I still have those comics.
If Riot were to make comics -or even write books- about Valoran and the champions in it, I'm positive there would be a big market for them. Comics are really popular right now, and seeing League of Legends comics might actually pull more people into the game. Example: A person goes to their favourite comic shop to pick up the new Thor or Ultimate Avengers or Saga comic, and they see a comic for League of Legends on the 'new arrivals' shelf. The person has never played League, but has heard of it. The comic's art looks cool so they pick it up and start reading it. They like the story and even though they decide not to buy the comic right away, when they go home they'll download the game and check it out. They decide that if they like it, they'll go back and buy the comic.
But Riot, if you do decide to do any print-format stories for League of Legends, I have but one small request... Please have at least one arc/story about Viktor and the Glorious Evolution. Thank you. ^_^

If league of legends novels were a thing, I'd actually pick up a book.
The JoJ was cancelled because a lot of players refused to read it because it was too much text.

If it was better illustrated and properly showcased, then I dont believe it would be the case @LoredHippoman. They were generally only telling stories from the eyes of some summoners, where as a general book about the world of Runeterra would convey its lore much differently and better in my eyes (because it doesnt have that subjective eyes as it did with the JoJ).
If they can output the same quality literature as say Warhammer 40K, I'll be so happy.
Honestly, right now with the retcon and stuff? Things are so generic that I could just read a WoW novel and replace Arthas' name with Mordekaiser and stuff, and I'd basically get the same effect. Cliche and derivative plots for a cliche and derivative world.
I think RIOT really needs to take a few innovative tips from what Dawngate had did. The Visual Novel, the Karma system... It all worked so well.
I kind of hope the reason that we keep hearing that the lore team is hard at work while not getting too much written material (though the cinematics and other events are really cool) is because they're working on stuff like this. Maybe I shouldn't be getting my hopes up, lol

Honestly a lot of people liked Bard's cinematic, it'd be really awesome if the League's new lore was a series of animated shorts that revolve around key events.
It isn't that interesting or original. I would say its actually more interesting the less we know about it.
Not that they can't make it interesting but I feel that if they couldn't do it for 4 years there is no hope. You will get few pages here and there tops.
there are way too many shitty young adult and fantasy crap fiction already to write some more, especially based on a video game with a rather meh lore
