We got many Humans, Yordles,... What about the other races (and new races)?

Okay so , i am not a lore nerd, but i have a simple question in mind. We have so many human champions, we got a good chunk of yordles, we got some void creatures.... but then what about the other races?

I mean, if League of Legends is in the fantasy genre, why don't we have champions of other races as well? So that we can create more consistency across the board.

For example is Trundle the only troll in existence? that would be lame, Why don't we have other trolls champions? (no bad jokes here guys :P) Volibear is the only talking bear? What about other "beings" like Aatrox? Bard? are they alone?

Also what about NEW races? I mean, this world cannot be just filled with monsters, humans and yordles right? It's a fantasy world, and i would love to see other factions or races introduced, so to expand our horizon.

Having only 1 champion for these races kinda feel bad, couse it kinda screams: " here you got ex. Trundle, he is our version of trolls.... But sry we got only him..."

Then there are other beings that are more like "entities" and as such they are Unique, and are not rferred to as Races. That is okay, like Kindred is okaya s it is.

BUT I WANT MORE RACES

There are many sentient races in Runeterra... but the problems is that Riot tends to create a single champion per race:

Humans: The normal humans that we all know, they usually live in city states like Demacia, Ionia, Noxus, Freljord Piltover, Zaun, Shurima and some of them even live in Bandle City... yes, they do. Yordles: The little guys with fur. Most of them live at Bandle City and Piltover, however, there are yordles everywere, even in Noxus according to the JoJ. Undeads: Dead people walking Voidborns: Powerful monsters that were "born" in the Void Voidlings: Lesser creatures from the Void... yes, they aren't "Voidborns" Centaurs: We are not actually sure if they exist... or are an hybrid of the Shadow Isles Hecarim Dragons: Yes, the Dragons are sentient creatures. Including the Dragon that you kill in Summoners Rift. Some examples of them in the lore are Ebonmaw, the dragon of Zaun, The Father of Shyvana , the killer of the Father of Shyvana, Dragonsharks of Bilgewater, Sea Dragons mentioned in the lore of MonkeyKing , Ao Shin etc.
Golems / Gargoyles: Sentient creatures created by magic or technology Galio Blitzcrank Lizards: The race of the old Red Buff and Grez item 3159 ... they are able to create weapons, lanterns, armors and even use magic.
Celestial Beings: Strange race of Bard and Soraka Darkins: The Race of Aatrox , only 5 of them are alive. Marai: The race of Nami and Sea Hunter Aatrox ... they can grew up legs using magic. Angels: Race of Kayle and Morgana
Minotaurs: Pseudo Extinct race of Alistar Teeneage Mutant Carry Rats: Apparently there is only one Twitch ... but... who knows? Trolls: Summoners that make me rage and a Race from Freljord Trundle
Ursine: Bear people Volibear Yetis: The race of Willump, friend of Nunu Brackern: Crystal insects... scorpions... things... Skarner Manbaconians: An strange race that likes to gamble, eat and drink a lot... the oldest Shopkeeper was one. Unknown name: Race of Fizz Unknown name 2: Race of Rengar Demons: Race of TahmKench ... and maybe other champions. ** ???: ** Race of Jax ** Fae:** Race of Pix, friend of Lulu

yeah. if you don't wanna take the time to give the story some real flesh, at least give the champion origins consistent so it sorta feels like a real world or universe we're in.the majority of champions feel so random. it's like we're in some arena in the middle of nowhere where people from all across the galaxy are stolen and thrown in together in a bloodbath. that's incredibly grim.

There's many races in Runeterra world. Not keen on seeing any more. :p

If Willump the Yeti became a Troll ... updated with Trundle the Troll King; imma play Nunu more. :p

To add to this so people can get a good idea for fantasy racial representation in League, we have the following in order champion representation:

Over 60 Humans including not so human ones like Nautilus and Shyvana
11 Yordles
5 Voidborn of varying species, with a sixth being an in game npc
4 Ascended
2 Whatever the fuck Kayle and Morgana's angelic race is called (They've never been called angels as far as I remember, may be remembering wrong)
1 Brackern (I'm still counting them dammit!)
1 Darkin with four more existing...somewhere
1 Demon with the potential for some already existing champions to also be demons
1 Iceborn with the ghost of one being an in game npc
1 Fae who acts as a companion to another champion
1 Marai
1 Minotaur
1 Troll
1 Ursine
1 Whatever the fuck Fizz's people are called
0 Frozen Watchers but who knows? Maybe one comes in the future?

Looking at these in more depth we can see that for the majority of these races, including the various voidborn species, their only champion representation is from individuals of great significance in the grand scheme of things, as we see Nami being the last hope of the Marai, Volibear and Trundle being the leaders of their people, Lissandra being the last of her kind and a grand scheming mastermind of the Frozen Watcher's will, Aatrox and Tahm Kench being of significant impact to human history in multiple instances, Skarner being the only member of his kind living on the surface, Fizz potentially being the last of his kind, Alistar being famous for escaping the clutches of Noxus and so on.

Going by this idea, new champions of these races would have to be individuals of great importance to their species, their nation or just for some reason in general. Because of the story surrounding some of the races some species, such as the Marai, the Brackern, the Iceborn and "whatever the fuck Fizz's people are called" are less likely to get new champions, but for others? Well let's examine:

We have 4 Ascended, two originating from Shurima's collapse and reestablishment, and two from ancient Shurima. That leaves however many other Ascended might also exist in the world, which while it's probably not a high number it's still high enough their's champion material in there somewhere!
We have 1 Darkin, and there are four more we don't know about. Of all the Darkin three are known to human history in some way including Aatrox, so if we see new Darkin they're more likely to be those two who've been active during the last few thousand years.
We have 5 Voidborn champions, six named Voidborn in game, and seven species of Voidborn over all. We'll almost certainly see more of these guys, but probably not of the same species. With the possible exception of Kog'maw's father of course.
Minotaurs, Ursine and Trolls are repped by only one champion each, and there's the potential for more, the problem is silhouettes; pretty similar looking in body shape right? Not the best excuse though considering how weird and varied champions can get, but it's one major factor when considering designing champs for these races; how do you make them more than just another Volibear, Alistar or Trundle in all departments, including gameplay, character, lore, visuals, everything.
Iceborn are mostly extinct so the likelyhood of getting more than Lissandra is debatable at best.
Frozen Watchers aren't repped in the game yet but the potential exists depending on how things pan out in Freljord.
Fae might be a bit too small to be champions? I dunno. We don't know much about those guys.
Demons have so much going for them right now considering they're not only varied by species but probably have the most varied physical appearances of any race of beings in Runeterra. I recon we'll have a good chance of seeing more demons in the future, or having old champions revealed to be actual demons.

So lots of species, lots of ground I'd personally love to see explored more, but also the big caviat of how do you make these guys more than just another (insert champion here) especially for the races that likely have little variation in appearance like Brackern and Ursine.

In conclusion: Riot! There's some among us who'd love to see more members of already existing races in Runeterra!

While most of these races are probably going to be represented through only one champ,I think they can expand upon Nami , Fizz & Khazix races.I mean there are many unique things in the deep sea that could be a base for another member of the marai or fizzs species(like a seawitch or an anglerfish-man) and Kha'zixs race is based around evolving depending on what you eat,so it wouldn't be off for them to look vastly different.

Skarner s brackern(if they still exist) could also look quite different from each other,so there could be also a second one of them.

I'm of the opinion that League has too many one-off races already and doesn't need any more. What it does need, if you want to diversify the cast, is fleshing out of the races it already has. Races that have only one representative of their kind in the lore whatsoever, two if they're lucky, don't really add anything to the lore other than say 'These people exist.'

Consider the following: Aatrox Ahri Alistar Anivia Fiddlesticks Fizz Galio Lissandra Malphite Maokai Nami Nocturne Nunu Rammus Rengar Skarner TahmKench Trundle Twitch MonkeyKing Volibear Zac Zyra

These are all champions that are the only one of their race to have any significance whatsoever to the story as it stands now. For some of them that's explained (Rammus is an in-universe mystery, Fizz is the last of his kind, Twitch was an accident, ZAC was an experiment) but others, we know there are more of them out there but they're just not important (Volibear, Nami, Trundle are leaders of races, Willump isn't the only yeti, Aatrox is one of five). There's plenty of material out there without adding more races.

Fizz is the last ( that we know of) of his race. Nami , trundle and volibear are the only ones of their race (so far) that are worth becoming champions it's not that there aren't other races it's just that they don't stand out just like their lawn more humans And yourdlez out there . I think riot Said the next two releases would focus more on the spiritual said the next two releases would focus more around the spiritual aspect of valoraen what other races do you have in mind also Bard and saraka are the same type of being

What's wrong with having one or two main races with various factions and corresponding heroes and the remaining races being represented by singular heroes ? Isn't that how most/if not all games do it anyway ?
