Asking Riot to listen to and work with its community (on anything, that is) is like trying to put a leash on a cat and take it out for a walk. It's not going to happen, as much as we wish it would. It was obvious they didn't give a shit about the lore once they stopped publishing the JoJ. It was like almost 6 months to a year (or something like that, felt like forever) between the last two issues!
Since they've already thrown away the lore and are now publicly coming out and saying, "Screw the lore!", why should we expect them to even remotely think about coming up with a reason for all these champs fighting each other, let alone listen to the fans and reverse their decision?! Look at all the other things Riot has just thrown to the wind! The Tribunal has been gone for a good chunk of the season while Riot tries to "improve" on it (it'll just be the same as before), there's hardly anymore interesting pro matches due to the same champs being picked over and over again because of a "meta" and poorly thought out nerfs and buffs to other champs in a foolish attempt to "balance" the system, and the tutorials for noobs are still useless as they're plenty of subjects that are untouched (Intro bots was just a band-aid for this issue. Riot's good at band-aiding.)! Hell, the grind to lvl 30 and ip gains haven't even been touched or improved, as far as my knowledge goes! Riot has had like, 3 seasons now to improve on that!
I don't know what makes anyone think that Riot will listen to anyone, especially the fans, about anything they do. They've become another corporate barrel of arrogant thumb-suckers who, whenever someone brings up an issue, will just go, "Wah! No! Screw the fans, we're gonna do what WE want!" I mean, ffs, they're based right outside of LA, so what do ya expect? I mean, the only ways that Riot might listen are if the entire community went dark and didn't reply on any of the forums or social media in association with Riot and/or not play the game at all (which we all know won't happen) OR if there were massive "riots" day in and day out outside of their HQ (which we all know also won't happen). Riot is too prideful and "in it for the money" to listen to reason and the community is 45% trolls, noobs, and assholes, 45% brainwashed monkeys who'll just give money away and people who are just too damn scared to really do anything, and the last 10% is people like us who truly care about what's happening, yet can only complain on the forums and social media because we lack the resources, time, and at least 45% or more of the community to actually do anything significant to make Riot meet our demands, needs, and wants.
TL;DR: Point is, Riot isn't going to reverse its decisions on anything and doesn't give two shits about the players. GG WP!!!
