get's reworked "Nah, we didn't see him as a priority to receive a VU" Right, cause I couldn't stand the constant spamming of the boards and reddit asking for a VU, she clearly needed it more then And yes , I am still salty that she got a VU, not because I didn't like it (I actually don't mind it ) but because she got one without needing it while other champions are just awful and get nothing, and yes I understand that Riot wants to release the champion VU with the Rework, but then do that equally. We are going to run into the immobile mage rework soon, and many candidates to be on the update list need a VU , but I have my doubts if they will receive it ( come to mind).

Its about new animations. Mordekaiser could simply reuse his old animations and get a ghost dragon.

But they couldn't have done the Fiora rework,without adding a new animation for her W.

Also Morde was part of a large-scale-rework.He wasn't the only juggernaut to get an update,so they probably focused on the gameplay-aspects here.

But that is more a VFX issue then a VU. Fiora could use the current animation for her W in her old kit. They could keep the current animations in the old Fiora model. Sure Mordekaiser could just use the old animations, but that is not the outdated part of him , it's his general appearance, his in game model just looks outdated, not his animations

Its simply that appearantly animations are the key to decide wether a champ gets a VU or not. You need to keep in mind that just because you port over the animation doesn't mean it looks good on old fiora.

Also I guess it is more of an opportunity thing: For Fiora,she was one champion that they looked at individually and thus decided to give her a VU,her champion update was its very own project. For Mordekaiser,they didn't just look at him,they looked at juggernauts as a whole,so he is only a small part of a way bigger project.They most likely had less resources for him individually than they had for Fiora.

Here's the thing, the juggernauts were seperate from Fiora. Fiora was complete champion update, those are slow and individual. Morde was part of a new set of champions known as juggernauts, the goal was to modify their abilities to have them fit this new category, they were not full champion updates, and I'm sure the teams were separate as well.

Such a shame he doesn't. Maces coming out of a ground were 100 times better than spooky farts imo. While he needed VFX rework, I don't really like how they were reworked in his case.

Animations =/= skill effects. It is one thing to give him new skill effects,it is another to give him new animations.

New model = different/more parts = new animations. They pretty much go hand-in-hand, although you're not entirely wrong. The splash, however.....

They also didn't bother giving Ryze a proper VU same for Morgana , they gave her new particles and some texture changes and called it a day. Lets just ignore she is still a walking spazzing tent.

Uhm Fiora does have a new W animation,that is rather important in terms of counterplay...

Ryze was actually supposed to get a VU,but in the end his VU proved troublesome and his abilities didn't need new animations anyway,so they put the VU on ice. Morganas VFX-update was just a small bonus,she'd only get a real VU if they'd have to rework her kit.

Her W animation is a recycled Q animation. It's silly to say they needed to VU her for the new kit. They could easily animate her old model for the new abilities and add the particles.

The thing is that the new Fiora also got a new Q animation,because the old one didn't really have much in that regard(she just glided to the enemy with her sword in front of her and then returned to her standard pose). Also her leaning back is indeed an animation that is not in her W.

He could need some changes,but yeah compared to veigar,he really looks fine(anivia doesn't look that bad either ever since she got a texture update)

Evelynn Veigar Taric ,etc.those are the ones who really need an update(at least taric is confirmed to get one "soon")

Well Eve and Veigar are probably both going to get full reworks down the line since both have been really hard to balance and considered to have an extremely toxic kit by Riot's standards (especially Eve), so you can be sure that they'll be getting a complete rework somewhere down the line.

Well they did some work on veigars skills already(making his q a skillshot and giving his E a delay),so I doubt he's still seen as very toxic. He might also get further changes with the "immobile-mages"-patch that they are working on and since it will be a class-wide patch,I doubt that they'd rework veigar until then.

Eve though could really need a relaunch.Her character is rather empty,her thematical aspects are lacking and her kit is quite the mess...

They also changed Urgot's W to give a better shield, but he is still seen as a very toxic Champion.

Veigar is even more toxic, and Riot has expressed dissatisfaction over the way his ultimate works (punishing you for building your source of damage), and they also don't seem to like the way his E and w (and the rest of his kit for that matter) work together.

Veigar is quite the toxic Champion.

Swain needs a VU and RW pretty desperately. he doesnt exactly scream out to be a feared and respected commander of noxus. and his bird form never made sense, not even in lore.

You are seriously suggesting Malzahar to get a VU? He is perfectly fine. Even though, I wouldn't complain about a visual rework for effects, the only skin that doesn't have purple effects, is snow day. If shadow Prince got yellow-ish particles, well.. Who knows..
