Q about purchasing the new skins and their borders
if I get one of the new star guardian skins as a gift or buy it without the border, can I still pay the rest of the cost to get the border if I want it?

Good question, I was just about to ask the same thing as I saved up quite a few Hextech Chests... getting a shard for the skins now/rerolling 3 shards into a SG skin would suck for me if I have to buy the full thing from the shop or be locked out from deciding to still pick up the borders later :/
Yes, you can. I just bought SG Soraka without the bundle, just the skin. So to buy the border+icon (the rest of the bundle) i only need to pay 425 rp. If u buy the skin without the bundle u can still give extra 425 rp for the icon + border. c:
