Her eyebrows look like they jut out of her face, which would be useful around 11-1:00 to keep out the sun... Honestly, why must people put everything that does not attract them into the "ugly" bin.

Urgot is ugly(and is supposed to be),

Warwick is ugly(not supposed to be, but the visuals are appaling. So much that my sister will go go out of her way to make sure a base skin warwick dies, regardless of team),

Sion is ugly(if you are looking for beauty. Ferociousness or bloodthirstiness, and other warrior like qualities, he has in spades).

Those are my benchmarks for ugly. And Taliyah is no where close to them. Not a traditional(western) beauty, but she can(and probably is, as that seems to be the Sheriman look) be in her own culture's expectations(Indigenous Hawaiians found fat girls beautiful, and gladly gave the skinny ones to Hollywood in exchange for money).

If you compare her to Sivir, the only other human Sheriman who's face is uncovered, Taliyah's nose is a bit flatter, and her eyebrows are much bushier, but then again, she is a teenager that has been on the run for years(not to mention has yet to fully grow into her features), while Sivir is a fully grown, talented, high end mercenary, and since she has to attract customers/contracts, it is not out of the realm of possibility that she would trim/pluck her eyebrows to better align to the foreigner's(Noxian, Damacian, Ionian, Piltoverian, and Zuanite's) ideal of beauty, since they are where the treasure hunters/merchants most likely come from.

Not really. He looks pretty damn good does in his splash. Taliyah looks fine in-game, ugly in splash. Bad comparison as well.

You know who you can compare her to? Illaoi.

And, to be fair she isn't as ugly as Illaoi. She's not even ugly like Illaoi really. She's just unattractive, which is fine.

Your point seeming to be, that she doesn't need to be beautiful is correct. But for ffs, use better ways to lead into it or you can only preach to a choir.

Middle-eastern women tend to have full eyebrows and more pronounced noses. As Shurima is a fantasy counterpart to that part of the world (primarily Egypt, of course) it makes perfect sense for Taliyah's appearance to reflect that.

That last selfie was tweeted with the caption "Arabs have definitely the best eyebrows, you can say anything you want but its true."

Taliyah's eyebrows are obviously more exaggerated, but that's true of most champions' features.

There is a difference between exa...You know what, forget it. These pics aren't even close in any way. Not even close to all the middle eastern women I know who aren't spruced up for Instagram photos.

The brows are uncanny, that's all.

Edit -- No really wtf kinda human in existence are you referring to. The eyebrows you have on showcase aren't bushy at all and pretty much nobody has anything close to that.

That aside, it's not really all the brow. Comparing Taliyah's art to other champions, she just doesn't fit the art style. She's like a human from a different game.

It's not a matter of being from a different ethnic background. Obviously, we have examples of that already in Lucian, Karma, Ekko and maybe Nidalee.

They all fit into the League art style in their splashes. Taliyah has, perhaps an anime-like feel to her. Like a crossover art style between League and something else.

I believe it's the lack of facial detail. Her features are all cartoon-like in combination with the shadow creating a lack of shading on her face. Feels less 3D than something like Jhin's exquisite art.

Taliyah certainly isn't the first to display this cartoon-like appearance. Just look at Yasuo. I mean, does anyone in real life have a ponytail that just naturally poofs out like that?

In any case, I think the eyebrows are cool and unique. It doesn't matter that they can't be found on anyone in real life, this is a video game and reality is bound to be stretched in one way or another.

Exactly. All of this so called examples of "big eyebrows" not bigger than edited variant of splash http://imgur.com/a/38Rx3 which is looks great. Why people dont see difference in 1 cm eyebrow and 6 cm rectangle thing.
