Since Championship Shyvahna just came out, i thought i'd bring this question up. I bought the Riven skin mostly for the splash, and bc it reminded me a lot of my favorite anime, Claymore. Does anyone know what the 'official', Red-post-confirmed inspirations were?
RiotRiot Sweet8 votesHey, this is a great question and I've passed it on to the skins team internally to see if we can get a response for you. I'm also curious!

I asked a number of Rioters this at the Season 3 World Championships last year. From what they told me, the impetus was a champion who had a huge impact on the season that was released that year.
Season 2 was Riven Season 3 was Thresh
I guess for Season 4, the skins team threw that notion right out with the Insitute of War ;)
It really should have been either Braum or Jinx, in my opinion

what i meant was the general appearance of the skin, rather than the champion choices
