All of these new splash arts that are coming out are really adding life into the champions. Each one shows off just how cool the champions can be unlike the older ones which felt closer to mugshots then splash art. The new splash art is also keeping a very uniformed design, where they all look like they are from the same game. Unlike the old splash art which was unorganized in the style.

And it seems to be going with Riot's new style of trying to make a beautiful, badass game. They want to demonstrate a scale of epiciness to the champions that they created. Each character's splash art makes them look like warriors who know how to battle. Instead of random people getting wrapped up in a some battle.
