Tahm Kench's lore
"'The whole world's a river, and I'm its king.' Tahm Kench travels Runeterra's waterways, feeding his insatiable appetite with the misery of the unsuspecting. The singularly charming gourmand savors every moment of his victims' suffering. A deal with Two-Coats may carry you to wherever you wish, but your journey will most assuredly end in the depths of despair." -Tahm's lore
So he makes deals, and then eats people. Fun. And then, as with most champions, he has a friends/enemies section to his lore. He is friends with Aatrox, and enemies with literally every non-evil Yordle, and Fizz. (btw none of those champs list TK in their friends/enemies sections) WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? So, the Yordles are scared he'll eat them? Aatrox appreciates people who fight, even if he just eats them? Fizz is the only one who makes any sense, but what the hell Riot? Why does this make so little sense?
And it doesn't stop at Tahm Kench. Ekko is also bullcrap. Jinx is listed under both friends and rivals, and Ekko is friends with Vi, but enemies with Cait. I think Riot should have just listed that kid and the policeman from the comic.
Continuing down the new champion list, Bard has no relationships with anyone ever. Makes sense for his character, but it isn't fun. Same with Rek'Sai.
Kalista is enemies with Cass, LB, Liss, Hec, and Zed. Because she doesn't like "betrayers, deceivers, and traitors". Cute, but still an isolated character.
Do you see what I'm getting at here? No new characters are related in any way to any old characters. The lore, at this point, seems like a jumbled mess of everything that the lore team has to slowly edit together to fit the new canon. However, this makes them scared to release anything new to exist near any established champions. The closest we've had in the last 5 was Ekko, who lives in Zaun. That's it. That's the entire connection he has with this world. He lives in a place where other people also are. I really like just going on the website, and reading some lore. But Riot, can you please make new champions a part of the world and not just stuck in somewhere?
an enemy, because they actually dont care about him or his "deals"... that is why he seems them as enemies, because they would never accept his "deal".
is seen as his own character, but
is only seen as the dude who is rivals with viktor.
real quick.
and
because he respects them on the grounds of being from Zaun. Both of them have grown up in the slums, so he feels a connection in there.
is a Pilty.
