Man... i mean, i don't recall a single patch after Azir was released that hadn't got some Shurima skins or implications in it.

Sometiems we even got multiple shurima skins in one patch, a lot of champions in the game now talk about shurima, and now Ekko's skin is Shurima themed too.

Now i get it... all of those shurima babblings by Azir.... he was warning us of the future. A future where shurima reigns dominant over all other things in this game...

To me it feels like a mix between Urtistan and Shurima. Because both nations were next to each other, some cultural aspects may have been shared with each other.

I think your problem is that you expect consistently Egyptian aesthetics from champions linked to Shurima. Keep in mind that the only modern Shurima champion on the roster is Malzahar and he does wear Arabian clothing. (The other modern day Shuriman is Sivir, but I don't count her because her outfit is generic swords & sorcery battle bikini nonsense and doesn't thematically connect to any real-world country.)

As Sandstorm Ekko is themed as a modern-day Shuriman, not to mention that he shares the Sandstorm skin line with Katarina, it only makes sense that he's dressed in more Arabian attire.

Nooo, Im just linking what makes sense. Urtistan wand Shuraima were close to each other, Urtistan studied chrono magic, the sand elements of shurima and the part which states it is in shurima. The logical conclusion is that the sandstorm ekko skin would be somewhere between Urtistan and Shurima if he ever whent there. Im not linking to any real world country, where did you get that idea?

I mean why wouldnt the Shurimans have close ties with Urtistans?

It's Shurima-themed in terms of lore, but it's not like most people in this game care a lot about lore.

In terms of visual design, it's definitely designed as an homage to Ubisoft's Prince of Persia franchise. The armlet and the sand particles are all homages to the Sands of Time trilogy (or pentology, depending on whether you count the two spin-offs), while his colorful bandity outfit is a reference to the Rogue Prince from the discontinued Ahriman Cycle.
