Aatrox Tee and lore

Aatrox Tee - Shirts - Clothing

So does this lend credence to the idea that Aatrox is the sword, not the winged dude? Or is it just a cool-looking stylization?

(I have no idea if Riot has actually commented on this bit of lore debate. I've just seen the theory.)

Hardly. It's meant to represent Aatrox in a stylized manner, that's all. I kinda like the theory that Aatrox is really the sword, but I rather doubt it's true.
