@Riot, I Want To Be Summoner Again

Impetual··6 votes·851 views

I want Summoner's to exist within League of Legends.

Heck, I want the League of Legends to exist within League of Legends! (oddly enough, that is stupidly naive...but it really shouldn't be.)

@Riot, let this stupid retcon stand if you must, but please leave a place in it for Summoners to still exist within the lore!

Allow players to still have their place within this games narrative!

Let us be summoners, and let that actually mean something again within the game!

They do still exist, they (narrative) just hasn't told us how Summoner's fit in the new lore.

I feel for you, but sadly, you're incorrect. You almost sound like someone in denial.

Riot has said that Summoner's aren't going exist within Runeterra anymore.

Riot may "say" summoners still exist, but in reality, they really don't.

Because of the retcon, Summoner is just a term for someone who plays League of Legends. There is no significance to the term anymore.

Since the term Summoner no longer has any in-game meaning, it basically just refers to someone who plays league now, which is pretty meaningless.

I can understand why you may be in denial, but RIot has decided to take their lore in a stupid and generic direction where there is no place for summoners IMO.

IMO, it kinda sucks.

Good god you sound condescending as fuck. Jeez man.

Well whatever regardless let me enlighten you:

Cupcake is absolutely right in his frustration that we have not replaced certain things that we appear to have taken off the table. Summoners have not been taken out completely, but they are different to what they were (they're not tied to the IoW, they can't be the same). Saying that doesn't help, it's one of the things we haven't shown you yet, so the frustration is completely understandable.

So there. Summoner's do exist, but Riot has yet to enlighten us as to what that entails. Take that as you will.

If you actually read what Riot has said about how post-retcon summoners during the aftermath of the retcon announcement, you'd realize that they don't exist anymore.

Riot's pretty much said outright that the term "summoner" still exists but has no lore meaning.... pretty much making it a meaningless term in-game.

I'm sorry if I sounded condescending, but I'm just going by what Riot actually said when the whole retcon thing was announced.

Sorry if it hurts to hear the truth.

Although it would be totally awesome if Riot brought summoners back.

In regards to Jaerdan's comment That you referenced...Riot should put up or shut up! Talk is cheap!

Content that isn't made yet isn't cannon!

Look whose talking. Werent you the one that wants everything back as it was and refuses to move forwards, aka in denial that everything should work the way you want it to be?

You may dis on me, but you do not dis on Sharjo, you pathetic bastard.

When did I ever say that I wanted things back to how they used to be?!

You're taking quite a leap there Tesla.

I merely think that Riot used to produce lore at a higher quantity and, for the most part, a higher quality in years past.

I understand that they need to evolve and change the way they do things in order to stay relevant , my anti-retcon posts are mostly about how in my opinion they are going about in in the wrong way.

In my opinion.
