Taric "texture update"

Because texture update =/= model update. He'll get his model(and probably theme) revamped in time, you're just complaining for no actual reason other than impatience.

Because he's a full relaunch like Sion, and Karma.

The TU is just a hold over until his turn comes. Same reason that WW got a TU but he's due for a whole new model too.

But WHY rush to make the texture update at ALL when his model is terribad!

Texture update is just recoloring his skins to be as smooth as the new map is. Changing his pizza feet to something like Kass is a visual update.

TU = no VU anytime too soon, but could still happen in the near future. Just be patient.

Its not even a real texture update,it is a texture rebalance.

Almost all old champions who are still far away from a full VU will get a texture rebalance and it won't change anything except for the texture.

Riot basically has the choice to leave taric like that until he finally gets his vu,or to give him this so that he doesn't look THAT bad until his VU(it was said that these Texture rebalances have no effect on the actual VUs,so its not like they are saying "oh he just got a TR,he looks fine now")

The texture update is a band-aid measure while they work on a full update for Taric. Texture updates can't change the underlying backbone of a character model so unfortunately the "pizza feet" can't be done away with until he gets his full update.

It's not a Model and Texture Rebalance (MTU, like with SInged, Maokai, Sona, etc.), if that's what you mean, nor a full VU (like with Tristana, Twitch Sion)...

It's a Texture Rebalance. The Rioters intend to tidy up some textures for older champs (most champs that came out before 2013, with a few exceptions), and even champs that need a full VU or a MTU will get it, even if they have a big update in progress- It doesn't interrupt the process of an update for a champ (art-wise, of course), it's a band-aid until a bigger update is completed.

(In case you don't know, the Textures are the coat of paint for the Model, which is the "statue" itself.)
