By Riot's decisions: "The League of Legends" is no longer a part of the game League of Legends. Sad.

Is anyone else still upset that Summoner's are no longer cannon?

Is anyone else still upset that some of the best stories that any LoL writers have made, the JoJ, have suddenly become non-cannon?

Is anyone still hoping that Riot will reverse its decision on the lore retcon?

If so, this is your thread.

I hate the lore retcon, but whether you agree with my opinion or not, please, continue showing Riot your opinion on lore, in hopes that they will consider it going forward.

LoL might be one of the biggest games/experiences of our time. Hopefully it will be done right.

This topic has been made like 10 times. We know you're upset. I'm upset too. But it's time to move on, man :(

Reversing the retcon is just not going to happen. They've delved way too far into it at this point with all the posts made.

The narrative team cannot do anything about it either. According to the article in New York Times...

In mid-September, six people met in a room at Riot Games. They were members of a corporate division, called Foundations, tasked with fleshing out the history of all the game’s champions, including the climate, landscape, architecture and dress of their place of origin.

Little of that information has any effect on game play. The point of Foundations is to lend concreteness to the Legends universe, as it’s depicted for fans on the website and in promotional materials.

Given that said "Foundations" corporate division isn't even mentioned anywhere on the League website and hasn't shown up anywhere on the forums, we can expect all their decisions to be as out of touch with how the community feels as possible. The lore team are likely just along for the ride.
