So this new story is pretty awesome.....

But I'm wondering if it's going to remain supported at all. I mean in the past couple years every time some story was released it usually is cut at the end and left to rot. Recently we had some interesting bits with Sion's resurrection and backstory that was really good, Shurima had an ok follow-up after cutting a lot of champions stories to pieces, the reads that we did get were alright but they were not up to snuff with the interconnected engaging world we had and all the interesting conflicts that sprung from it. Graves and TF is one of my favorite character interactions and I'm glad it's remaining a consistent part of LoL's story, though I can't help but feel after this lore event we won't be hearing anything from bilgewater again and at best we'll have loose connections to these characters.

I mean I know you guys have 120+ potential stories here, though when the journal of justice and the champion judgements were around we had a lot more active engagement with the champions. It definitely wasn't where the lore should be and I think these lore events are a good start, but I feel every so often even before patches we should have a bit of something to chew on even if its just a short story with some plot teases. LoL is a big universe with characters both simple and complex in story and motivation, we shouldn't just be getting one line every year or so from a book that still has hundreds of pages to share.

I understand how you feel about editing lore, but I've read Part 1 of the story, and so far, I think Riot's doing a swell job. They haven't cut anything up: they instead delved into TF and Graves' relationship and established Gangplank's real nature. The first person POV of Graves and TF captured their personality beautifully through their speech, their behavior, and their interactions with each other. The introduction of Gangplank established him as a gritty, dangerous character who's developed an ideology that he uses to lead.

The story's quite intriguing, and if it goes well through the rest of its parts, I too hope Riot will do it more frequently. It's a good way of developing the lore.
