Small theory that Jax was rejected as an ascended host.

Zilean lore says that every petition for an Icathian hero to be made an god-warrior was rejected. Jax was the Kohari leader and a master of all weapons. Smells like a perfect ascension to me.

Jax was a captain in the color story? no idea. as for being a master of all weapons, wasnt ALL of his order that? they were all known as weapon masters, being an elite group

That's assuming anyone born other than human could even be accepted either. My initial thought process, a minotaur could be 'worthy' but Ascension would be half redundant anyway, wouldn't it?

You say like being rejected is a bad thing? You seen what happened to them? Killed, mutilated or sat at the edge of the world pondering existence.

According to the stories, Ascension was a special right, and if he has served the Empire in a meaningful way and wasn't just a leader, then he would have been rewarded, as Nasus was. Even if Riot have thrown out the idea that the right was special and just let anyone in (Rhaast and Varus, maybe because of the Void incident), the right at the time of the rebellion was probably special and was still controlled by the priests choice. Nasus wasn't just thrown in, he was begged to be allowed it.

Besides, it's also a very risky process, sometimes rejection is for the better as you don't want your beloved leader dieing or worse from it.

Although I like the theory.
