why do you think he can fly?
It's simple: He can't fly at all.
Not sure why you'd think he can fly.
That's not flying, it's falling in style.
Same way Xayah does, by holding tightly to their lover (who has the opposite wing).

there's this wonderful thing in runeterra called "MAGIC"
it works a bit like crack except everyone else can see and feel it too and it doesn't (usually) have horrible detrimental mental aftereffects

part of this one-wing idea, was to show how he and Xayah complete each other if you watch the cinematic trailers at the end of one of them when they hold each other it appears that their wings create one bird. kinda lore related too.
they mention vastayan blood many times..swain has some in him...from what i got from the lore that isnt the actual form of those two. its the one they picked.
He combines with Xayah for two wings
The Kamaels from Lineage 2 can also fly with 1 wing, it is possible. Although they can also transform and change their 1 white wing into 2 black wings.
wanna know my thought? Their species doesn't fly till they have found their pair. Xayah being his. Once together they are able to fly with each other but never alone. Together they are meant to complete one another
Neither of them can fly, they aren't actually birds. It's not part of him that's just his cape.
its stated multiple times that is not the true form of them.they have multiple different forms they can take that form was chosen by them to be more suitable for a world of bipedal creatures so they could blend in easier. and do the job easier. i assume this means that form was chosen by them together as a couple to signify there love for each other. never one without the other type of thing...but that is not there actual form.[slayer-pantheon-thumbs] enjoy learning.
