New item icons are too indistinct

Compare the new item icons and the old ones at a slightly longer distance, its self-evident that the new ones while detailed and beutiful seems somewhat blurred and indistinct.

item 1001 item 1031 item 3010item 3031 item 3106 item 1029item 3146 item 3026 item 1075 item 1056 item 3027 item 3044 item 3158 item 1004 item 1027 Sure they are kinda less refined and all that, but they sure do stand out. Now compare these to the new ones

item 3046 item 3050 item 3748item 3133 item 3035 item 3052 item 3036 They disappear into nothingness when viewed at a slight distance, and while they look terrific closeup, icons are meant to be looked at a glance and from a distance. More noticeably, they have quite less saturation on average and I'm totally convinced this is the way to go

You are right, they are kind of dull and blury, if you increse the contast and sharpness just slightly they stand out much better.
