Dawnbringer vs Nightbringer - thematically vs practically

On a thematical (moral and philosophical) standpoint i want Order to win. But when it comes to ingame, though i dont play either of the two champions i absolutely adore Nightbringer Yasuo's theme - and especially his godlike voice acting.

How am i supposed to choose between these?

In that case I'd say you should go for the yasuo-themed stuff. After all,the important thing is more about which goodies you'll get through the event.

I didnt realize you had to pick one and ended up with the Riven stuff. I guess thats for the best anyway - i disagree with Yasuo's philosophy, i just really like his skin. (I hate Riven ingame with a passion as i'm a Season 1 veteran and barely lived through her golden age in Season 3, but i still like her character)

I actually like yasuo's philosophy he wants freedom meanwhile order wants to shackle your freedom

Hooo.... You seek freedom?

There are 2 ways to find them, or at least their footprint.

One is through the way of the forest.

The other is through the way of the desert.

Freedom awaits you beyond. But it won't be pretty when you see it.

This kind of argument is what I can not bring myself to see. As far as I could see this is one of the dumbest rhetoric I've ever heard of. It sounds nice, and can make good stories depending how it's executed, but that's about it.

Words can not best life. If you die, then all is lost. A dead person can not do shit, nothing is done, and nothing is said, nor is there anything being proven. It only invites your killer to come, kick your dead body, piss on your corpse and laugh at you for one last time before you become worm food. But if you stay alive, there will always be chances, opportunities, to do things, and to go somewhere.

Do not disregard life and its preciousness. Strive for living, no matter the circumstances. Never strive for what kind of death is supposedly more meaningful or more impactful, it's nonsensical.

There is a difference between risking your life, and saying "I'd rather die". The latter is what I despise.

I agree with you. Ive never understood that mentality.

As long as your not literally in a concentration camp being tortured every day having to bow down is WAYYYY better than being dead.

It's not necesserly right because yes for you the death is gonna be the end and you won't gain anything of it but it might inspire the others bringing something way stronger then what you could've done going on your knees. ( I'm sorry if it doesn't make sense I tried my best to translate my thoughts )

As said, there is a difference between risking your life and going out with a bang. Both scenarios could result in death, and they frequently do, but they happened for completely different reasons and goals.

Someone who risks their lives understand both the importance of their and potentially other people's lives, but feel that it is necessary to put theirs on the line in order to achieve something greater than they are. It is a calculated risk and action, where it just so happens that their lives end up on the risk assessment. And ofc they are not there just to lose it.

But someone who goes "I'd rather die than bow" makes their decisions emotionally on the premise that they do not want to be embarrassed, shamed or whatever. Their lives are raised in this trade because they work on the basis of "go hard or die hard". In other words, the premise itself is suicidal to begin with.

Someone who knows how to risk their lives will kneel one day, but plan their moves to escape or to rebel or they will just do many things behind the backs of the current monarch or whoever you do not agree with, whichever, because their hearts did not kneel. Someone who only knows "This or death!" will just end up dead on the floor or they will succeed and immediately lose their relevance and collapse along with their people.

Completely different things. "Fighting" is just one of the many ways to actually fight and merely one among all the challenges there is for the former, while the latter's purpose end at "fighting" itself.

While it may be true that many find both inspiring, but I do not personally find the latter inspiring at all, at least not beyond pure entertainment purposes. I only see it as recklessly and irresponsible if I really want to get down to it.

For a I suppose, stronger example: During the Holocaust and the mass murder of Jewish people, distaste towards the Nazis were brewing. One demographic among the ones who disagreed with the Nazis was the Muslim community in Europe. While living within the regions controlled by the Nazis, they seldom fought back and lived "kneeling" under the Nazis, and because them Nazis had nothing in particular against the Muslims and so they let them be. What they didn't realise was that Muslim civilians along with the help of mosques, including the Great Mosque of Paris, was actually busy sheltering the Jewish people by taking them in, hiding them, and forging fake identities for the Jewish people (disguising them as Muslims at the time). Many thousands of Jewish people escaped their brutal fate from this effort alone (though still very small compared to the actual casualty I suppose). This is also applicable to many other communities and individuals that were actively helping out the Jewish people behind the backs of the Nazis. So the question, did those people really "kneel" under the Nazis?

In the end of the day war is not what we really appreciate, it's not slogan, nor is it narratives that we follow, but the heart. If the heart doesn't yield, it has never yielded. And to preserve that heart, to achieve, and to carry it on in the hearts of other people, one must NOT function on the premise of throwing lives away carelessly.

For me the quote means to fight back against oppressors and tyrants that want to shut away your freedom and control you. Die fighting instead of living as a slave.

This is too ideological. Real life isn't this simple. In fact, the tyrant you've described is actually the easier kind of tyrants.

The real tyranny is the illusion of freedom, the subtle manipulation and promotion of tribalism/anti-intellectualism in many developed countries as well as their often downright hostile foreign policies.

The real tyranny can not be fought with in an actual war, that's the hardest part about it. Because fighting who-shoot-who is actually easy before politics.

That is your opinion and I respect it, I am a very realistic person but when it comes to any kind of oppression even illusions of freedom you must keep your eyes open to both sides of an argument and try to see the bigger picture and take in the details, and fight against those who want to control/manipulate your rights and freedom for their own gain, fight with every breath you take until you die or just sit back and watch it happen.

Fighting against tyrants are not easy if it was the world would be a better place but its up to you to decide if the cause is worth taking the mantle.

I'd prefer the Peace in tyranny, then the Annihilation in chaos. We have never seen tyranny that brings true, lasting peace. Nor have we seen total chaos in which none bowed before another.

His idea of freedom is no rules, no laws, every man for himself and perpetual war. While you may think it sounds pretty, in practice it would mean strength determines worth and you would be forced to fight for your existence every single day.
