Are the reworked champions getting skins anytime soon?

more just the title. With the whole Frostblade issue, (I for one am still really disappointed at it) Nobody bothered to ask if Irelia has a new skin in the works. It would be nice to know or at least hint at, its been a long time even though she just got reworked, swain got one within a week of his relaunch. How about and who have all not seen new skins in years pending an RW and now still have not seen new skins. Personally i love all 3 of these champs, but yet i seems like it has been forever since any of them have gotten skins, yet managed to get one that was 1 week after his, and a few patches later even got chromas? Can we at least get a few of those? IK got some with his battlecast skin but hasnt gotten any love in the skin department since his rework.

They almost always get a skin ~a year after their release. Swain was an exception because Dragon Master was promised for him years and years ago.

this is clearly untrue let me just list some champs Kled Taliyah Illaoi who have waited 2+ years for skins AurelionSol and those are just the new ones

yes IK Resistance Illaoi just came out, but that was about 1 1/2 months ago after she waited 2 years, and were almost at the point where we can add in Camille Ivern and Kayn i state almost but Camille has been over a year. as has Ivern , going on 2 for both of them.

He said "almost always," not "always." Furthermore, VGU'd champions usually haven't gotten skins for FAR LONGER than 2 years. Yorick, until Arclight last year, hadn't received a skin for 6 years, which is his entire existence in League (he hadn't received any skins he didn't launch with). I believe Sion hadn't received a skin for something like 4 years when his first new skin, Mecha Sion, came out.

Actually, it was 5 years total and was about a year and a half after his rework before the skin was out.

Jarvan needed the dark star skin. His last skin was a legacy skin in 2014,so it had been almost 5 years since his last skin.

I meant VGU's With the exception of Sion and Taric, who got new skins way late and way early, respectively.

Poppy - Released: December 2015 | new skin October 2016 Yorick - Released: September 2016 | new skin October 2017 Warwick - Released: January 2017 | new skin February 2018 Galio - Released: March 2017 | new skin March 2018

As you can see, they've been getting more consistent with giving VGUs new skins a year after their release, give or take a month. Based on that, we can assume Urgot will get something in the summer and Eve should get a new skin in October. In theory.

Stop bringing Swain up in this argument. People don't know the story behind it. That skin was promised over 5 years ago. Riot was making good on that promise. It's an ENTIRELY different situation, and a complete exception to the rule.

Irelia is going on 4 years waiting for a skin 'pending a rework' just has Swain was so this offers nothing and is in fact just as valid a point in the argument.

It's not a valid point of argument. 5+ years ago, Riot revealed Dragonmaster Swain, claimed it would even be coming out soon. Not too long after that, they said "Oops, we fucked up, we couldn't make it how we wanted, it's dead now." This was after the hype of all the Swain mains that they'd be getting a kick ass skin. Riot over those 5+ years has been on and off again about the skin, perpetuating it in death, but always hinting that it might return given the right circumstances.

Then Swain gets his VGU, and the right circumstances come up - here they had a team ALREADY working on Swain and remaking his skins, so why not have them slip in this other skin that Riot has been talking about for over 5 years? This is an exceptional circumstance, a design that had already been discussed and fleshed out by not just Riot, but also the community for YEARS. Here they had a team devoted to rebuilding Swain and his skins, and here they had a skin design that was pretty much already done and coveted by the fans. That was why they made and released this skin, because it had been concepted and promised years ago, they had supremely disappointed the fans because they canceled an already announced skin, and here was the opportunity to make good on that promise.

Irelia never had any skins that were promised and then cancelled. Neither did Urgot, Galio, nor Evelynn. Swain was THE ONLY champion to have this happen to him and it was a huge PR bungle for Riot. That's why Dragonmaster Swain is an exception, because it is their way of correcting this PR bungle and pleasing the fans who for years have been begging for this skin to finally release.

It doesn't belong in this argument because this skin has history and is a special case. It's not just some regular skin that's part of the normal skin production cycles like Pool Party Taric was or Birdio.

And now frost blade has a similar but different situation. the point being these champs need skins already not more Ahri Lux

I get that Evelynn, Urgot, and Irelia need skins. I do not dispute that. But using Swain as your framework for when to expect a new skin, or trying to use him to create some injustice because Eve/Urgot/Irelia haven't gotten skins yet is wrong, and I've explained why.

Other reworked champions have received skins after their reworks. Some less than a year, some slightly more than a year. Sion got Mecha Sion a little over a year later. Poppy got Star Guardian a little over a year later AND she just got Snow Fawn last year. Taric got Pool Party about 4 months later. Yorick got Arclight about a year later. Warwick got Lunar Guardian over a year later. Galio got Birdio about a year later. The general consistency has been that within about a year of a rework, they get a skin. That's the status quo. Swain was an exception. So if a 2 years pass and Irelia, Evelynn, and Urgot haven't gotten skins, then complain. But since a year hasn't even passed for them yet, chill out and wait patiently.

i am pretty sure Warwick only got one because the whole year of the dog thing, but i concede all the other ones. it just kinda sucks that all these champions have waited for skins pending a rework, and yet now have to wait another year for skins meanwhile just because zoe was super popular shes already got concept for a poolparty after being out 2 months. it just feels like they should all have gotten a treatment similar to swain, where with the rerelease of the champ was a new skin aswell, similar to how all champs come out with a skin. Thats all i really am asking for. im using swain as an example because his dragonslayer skin was supposed to hit live with his rework and got delayed.

Most reworks get them within a year or so after they've been updated, so give it time.
