Personal Nightmare Scenario for the Targon Lore Update

We get Taric's piece, we see how he is tied in to Mt. Targon, the Aspects, Aurelion....... and then nothing. The stage is set, the actors have their roles, but the curtain falls before the final act (item 3078 Jhin item 3078) .

It happened with Shurima and the Freljord. Everything got built up but at the end of it all we were left with "she's preparing for this", "he's about to do that", "winter is coming" etc. Then nothing. No follow up, no update, nada for 3 years.

I pray that "Shadow and Fortune" and "Burning Tides" set the bar for all Lore updates and we actually get something beyond a character set up

As you said, it's a lore update ( bio and colour text) not a lore event (Burning Tides and Shadow and Fortune). Freljord and Shurima were before Riot solidified their pipeline for delivering lore, so it's not a fair comparison.

Jaredan did warn that this isn't a full "event" like Bilgewater was. I wouldn't get my hopes up for any big conclusion stories, as much as I would love to see one.
