So first off that splash looks SICK. But Rengar lives in the jungle and the trees in the back look like they are from twisted tree line.also the things to the far right look like eggs. Soo did Rengar move to the shadow isles when I wasn't looking? like what's going on? And if this is not what its supposed to look like, then maybe add leaves to the trees? Maybe?
Uggh WHYYY Riot are you replacing the already stunning splashes of Lee Sin and Rengar (the latter is what made me wanna play the champ) when you have still have atrociously outdated splashes such as Anivia and Shen and probably a bunch of others I'm forgetting?
I hope to hell that they don't retcon him as being from the Shadow Isles, because that would just be incredibly stupid.
However, I could see Rengar traveling to the Shadow Isles to hunt more challenging prey. After all, what's harder to kill than a ghost?
Then again, where does Kha'Zix figure into this? The two are basically locked in brutal one-on-one.
The ghostly blueish glow is what makes it look like shadow isles to me.
I don't think he'll be from the Shadow Isles.
BUT.
I do think there's a possibility that he may have hunted something on the Shadow Isles that gives him his powers of invisibility. Maybe he found an artifact, or defeated some sort of spirit or revenant that gave him the powers to camouflage, or become like a ghost, as sort of seen in the splash.
The things on the right are branches.
He is a hunter and there is some dangerous game that reside on the Shadow Isles.
probably just some random forest. sure there is this rather green light around him,but thats probably just there to light up the place a bit(because making the splash completely dark would be rather awkward).
Alternatively it may simply show us him being played on the twisted treeline
I bet they are going to retcon him into the shadow isles
i like the original current splash much more than this new one , riot please don't fix what is not broken .
