@Riot skin team, 2018 has yielded 3 support skins. One a Gem and the other two both legacy.
As it stands if I go to the store and look for skins in 2018 I can get a great variety, from Rumble to Evelynn, Shen, or Gragas which are all champs that needed some new skins. Yet for some reason 2018 has yielded a grand total of three support skins with the upcoming SSG skins (I will be speaking as if the SSG have released)... in seven months.
Yet not a one is in the shop to buy? Why you might ask because their either a legacy skin and unable to buy most of the time, or it's a Gemstone skin and takes an absurd amount of chests to get. I was really hopeful and have been waiting for the Pool Party skins to be revealed because surely one of the more important skin lines will offer a support skin. But with them being revealed as a GP, Zoe, and another Cait skin my hopes are beginning to give out.
With all the recent videos and post from the skin team their always preaching more diversity and promising skins for champions that haven't gotten skins in years. Which so far they have been doing great. Several champions that haven't gotten a skin in three or more years are seeing new skins. Yet in all this progression the skin team seems to almost have completely forgotten an entire roll. From a business standpoint, I understand why some champs seem to get awesome skins more frequently seeing Riot is a business and are out for money after all. So the champions with a higher popularity are obviously going to get more skins because that means more players will want to use and buy it. But that isn't different between rolls, support players want to be able to purchase skins for their favourite champions and so far 2018 has given us a grand total of three skins. Two of which are for the same champion in the Valentine's Day skin for Rakan and now his 2017 Worlds skin. With the other option being a Gemstone skin for Alistar.
As other support mains surly feel similar I ask to please make the latter half of 2018 more support skin heavy since we have gone the first half of the year with hardly anything to be excited for. I understand it takes months to make a skin from start to finish so I know if anyone important even sees this it will take time to see if this criticism has an impact on the state of skins. Keep up the good with the diversity though, even if I don't play most of the champs in dire need of some skin love its nice to see their names in the patch notes with new skins.
