Evolution in the League Universe

Why is there no predominantly black place in the League universe?

Lucian is black, where is he from? Isn't black skin an evolutionary trait? Wouldn't it make sense that there is a place in the League Universe comprised of black people due to the climate there?

Just curious because I've only seen a bunch of black and white people, but no place in the League setting that is mainly black. If there are black people, you'd think there would be an area that is mainly black because of adaptation, no? As far as I know, pale skin was a trait evolved in order to maximize Vitamin D synthesis. So in a sunny climate (like Africa) where this isn't an issue, they would probably still be black. Begs the question, why is there no place in Runeteraa that's still mainly black?

I mean if Lucian/Ekko/Pyke or whoever just moved over to where they are, that's cool. But it still makes me wonder if there is a place their relatives or ancestors originated from. And further, if the League Universe is beyond that and black and white and whatever other color have all been living together for quite a while - there wouldn't be white people either. They'd probably be an olive color by that point, right? I wouldn't think natural selection would favor white unless the star shining over there didnt emit just a whole lot of UV rays or something.

Just curious, I'm no scientist but I was reading lore today and this question popped in my head.

  1. Lucian is Demacian.
  2. In Fantasy/High-Fantasy like this skin color of humans means jack shit.

I think it will be implemented in the future because we only see 1/6 part of runetera, yes, all the factions present in todays time are just 1/6 of lol's world.

It's super hairy to get into this line of questioning in a high fantasy game/setting simply because we don't have full context to draw on. In my mind if Riot was totally neglecting racial diversity it would be an issue.

Here's the big reason: we don't have full context of a fictional world. A perfect example is in the tabletop RPG I play, where the canon lore has an entire city state that is displaced from their original homeland. As far as we know, there could be something like that in the distant past of LOL lore. Because we don't know the full history, it's fully possible that there was once a predominantly black nation, but there just isn't one NOW.

They most likely just didn't think about the world that way when they created it.

I'm pretty sure that when they made the game, they essentially did a bunch of characters first and then created the factions around them.

The problem is that when the game started they didn't really have any black champions,so there is no predominantly black faction.

Though I'd say that there might be a population of black people on the buhru islands based on the icons of item 3742 and martyrs gambit https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/7/70/Martyr%27s_Gambit_item.png/revision/latest?cb=20171201213925
