“Coin may buy you skill for a day, but never loyalty.” on her official lore page.

She states in game "Loyalty isn't earned. It's bought." Someone got some explaining to do cause im confused.

-On a seperate note ... Is she still a mercanary? Why would she help Cassiopia if she abandoned Noxus during the Ionian war. I'm pretty sure it is confirmed that they have attempted to assinate her.

Well I doubt that Sivir writes down everything she says and both statements do fit her character. When she says that "loyalty is bought",she likely means that people are only loyal to the money that they are paid with. When she says that "Coin may buy you skill for a day, but never loyalty.” she pretty much means that said loyalty ends as soon as the payment is over.

"Give a man a coin, and he will have skill for a day. Teach him how to coin and he will still be Bronze V"

More seriously, pretty interesting question. The most logical answer would be that you can buy loyalty for a short amount of time, but not for long. Or if you wanna buy "loyalty", pay the guy for more than one day.

That's stretching it, but yeah, could be cool to have insight on that.

She was a mercenary. She was still a mercenary when she got in that tomb with Cassio. But i don't know if she still went to war in Ionia, because her warband has been centered on the Shuriman continent. I guess Noxus would have to pay real good money to get her so far. If she did, yeah, weird. Maybe Cassio didn't present herself as Noxian.

Right, she is still a mercenary technically. But she just got dragged into a war between Ascended, and learned that she is the heir to Shurima's Empire. So she can still be a mercenary, which she currently is, but she can also become a prominent figure in Shurima.

She mean that loyalty doesn't exist. "Loyalty isn't earned. It's bought." She mean that people will not fight for your merits or rights but only for your resources. “Coin may buy you skill for a day, but never loyalty.” is an effect of the first phase, people are only loyal for your resources so their "loyalty" will end with then.
